"They are going to a home that can make use of them."
New CCE delivery service??
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

New CCE delivery service??
Ah the old CCE 'swap bike bits for edible things' service!
Spotted myself…
So you ride a Brompton - who knew...
If this was Facebook you'd get a Like.
That was the S2L-X.
The Longstaff is ready to roll if the weather gets bad but I didn't need to use it last year at all.
I saw a wee bunch of three cyclists in identical jerseys this morning, white with some vertical red stripes. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Mr and Mrs urban arrow outside Waverley court this lunch time
Bakfiets on Morrison Street heading to Lothian Road. I said "nice bike" but the owner looked slightly baffled by me....
A brace of Bromptons on the train this morning :-) a nice orange and black number to keep my old black one company.
@stickman I wonder if that's the one I've seen around this part of town too. No one I recognised.
@SRD: Youngish chap with a beard? Bike had a red cover at the front. I'm sure the CCE spies will identify and recruit him soon enough :-)
I was 'spotted' today. Was cycling tandem along to cycle service to swap racks with urchaidh when a chap pulled up beside me at some lights and politely said 'i hope you don't mind me asking, but did you buy that bike second-hand'...
(I assured him that Laid-back would vouch for me & my bike)
Was that a polite accusation of bike theft?
I think rather of being an un-knowing purchaser of a stolen bike?
I'd not heard of a helios being stolen in Edinburgh.
Perhaps you were riding it like you stole it ;)
Need a wee CCE sticker that can be placed discretely on the downtube to assist with spotting (in a low speed or stationary environment, unless we added an RFID tag or similar).
I'd take a sticker on my bike or bag for sure.

I'm sure there will be cheaper sites available.
The QR code for the website as a sticker? Sure someone mentioned that somewhere before...
A pair of cyclists being motor-paced by a moped near Pencaitland yesterday.
@stickman just saw him steaming up home place towards Bruntsfield place. Short dark beard.
Spotted a rather attractive child-carrying trike parked outside of the Festival Theatre this afternoon.
Anth possibly, at Figgate Park as we arrived to watch oldest daughter running in a race.
Failed to spot my shoes with spd cleats I use on my winter bike so had to take summer bike out yesterday. It has never been out this early before and has no mudguards. fortunately, not cold, not much surface water or crud on the roads of south Lanarkshire. Wind though. There was wind.
Woman with #walkvotecycle t-shirt just jogged past me!
Did she have a verb of motion missing from her top?
Anth powering past me on Glasgow Road in civvies and a pair of bright orange cycling shoes.
A grey buff with the lower section in fleece and a houndstooth pattern in fluo green, lying on the road at junction of South Gyle Road / Broomhall Drive. Looks like it had shoogled out of someones pocket as they came off the toucan crossing. I tied it to the railings of the pedestrian crossing if anyone is missing such a thing.
Someone in a pair of bright pink cycling bootee things on Great Junction Street on Sunday. A high-up recumbent with very small-looking wheels going past Ainslie Park.
