Yes, I saw one of the racer trikes at EBC a couple of years back, the guy had ridden it from Bristol. I slightly altered the reality of the tale as I just nodded when the guy said it was a longstaff.(possibly thinking I had heard of this brand, which it turns out I had) he then said that is my name, Longstaff.

Forgot to mention that I spotted a crew in the process of setting up a shot for what I'd assume is going to be a music video underneath the Viewforth canal bridge on my way home from work the other night. I assumed that they were between takes so rang my bell to request space to pass.

At the bottom of slalom at Roseburn path guy on roller blades with sticks propelling himself upwards.

Arellcat, some days ago, Bromptonising up Comiston Road.
Waves were exchanged.
Arellcat, some minutes later, pushing her Brom up Comiston Road. I apologise for not stopping to offer an assist, but I was on a tight schedule and do not carry 20" spare tubes.
Arellcat, if you're wondering if it was a trick of perspective: the man who was standing next to me is 6'9".

I was pushing my hefty grey cycle. I wear a pink jacket with a torn back pocket.
Couple of south Asian ladies with a boy of about 6 on a cycle. I thought going down the slalom was a bit challenging for a child but maybe they were heading to Roseburn Park which is a popular place for learners.

@IWRATS I spotted the broom this morning. I reckon that a crown of unladen kingfishers could quite easily have dropped it there and were probably watching gleefully from over the canal as I cycled by, intently scanning the foliage.

Probably Dave Mccraw smashing passed me on recumbent with big wheels. Going as fast as the cars, wearing blue cap with white stripe. Went right down muirwood road which fits the description

@gembo I was coming to the end of a circuitous route home via several climbs around Balerno. The new racer has got me onto a slippery slope down which I am accelerating fast because it has provoked the purchase of an HRM and some bib shorts. Who knows where it will end?

@greenroofer, you will emigrate to Balerno and join the fietsclub. Last Sunday we eschewed our westerly routes and went deep into east lothain to find rain. We sought big downpours and found them on the ascent of red stone rig and over to garvald.
On return it was noticed that Midlothian Edinburgh and west lothain were bone dry.

Did I pass daisydaisy on Balcarres Street this afternoon? Stripy top? Shades? Bright helmet?
I'm unsure because normally we pass each other on quite practical and sensible bikes, but I noticed from the cockpit of my less practical bike with dropped bars that this candidate for being daisydaisy was also on a drop-barred bike.
...of course it could have been someone completely different...

@Baldcyclist I presume the *rule* is to always fold / unfold regardless of whether folding is actually required?
Of course, one should always take the opportunity to demonstrate:
1) the superiority of folders
2) one's dexterityAll whilst aiming for a PB folding time - soon to be an Olympic event...
That said, I will often not bother folding if there's a bike space free!

I always fold my Brompton to put it on the train because it is more stable in its folded state.
