Spotted that the cycle racks at Haymarket have finally had all the barriers removed. Lots of people sitting on the benches enjoying the sunshine yesterday.

I took a diversion past Harrison Park on my way home this evening and spotted microSRD, busy doing some hot laps around the paths.

Then as I got to the canal I bumped into Le Directeur, MonsieurSRD, who was evidently pleased with the performance of his protégé.

Later I had a brief chat with nobrakes at Laid Back.

Passed @jdanielp on the towpath this evening as I was off to the allotment and he (I assume) was coming home from work. It was by the big spreading tree at Craiglockhart that's now half way across the path.

On my way home there, I was following a rather impetuous young man (who'd come from my office) in striking trousers who came round that tree so fast and so much on the wrong side of the path that an oncoming cyclist was seen to mutter and shake his head (understandably).

Was picking up my new baby from Laid Back:

Also got to sit on Arellcat's Lightning P-38 which felt very comfortable. Have seen a lot of talk about them on the net but had never seen one in real life, it seems like a fantastic bike.

New Fuego is awesome! Will post my thoughts in a few weeks, once it and me have had a chance to become properly acquainted (first recumbent, still a bit wobbly).

@Greenroofer I had assumed that was you but I was mostly focussed on cycling close enough to the foliage to avoid you and the cyclist behind you whilst not being consumed.

Spotted a guy on the NEPN near Craigleith yesterday with a light blue cycling jersey that said something like "The 8:01 from Dalmeny" on the back. He peeled off in the direction of Cramond / Queensferry at the junction.

It also said in smaller letters "No Climb, No Cake" across the rear pockets.

@wimlington's cow you've got better eyes than me - after you spotted me, it occurred to me that that was probably you, but I wouldn't have spotted you on my own!

(my eyesight's not as bad as this sounds - I was on SMW, while WC was on MD)

  11. Indeed, with quite a bit of traffic and trees in between. And you were on a distinctive bike, while I was dressed in so much slimming-black as to be virtually invisible... ;)

I was going to wave, but as a car was passing me at the time I thought it might give him a moment of worry.

In a narrow bike lane on a busy a47 near Wisbech, a rotos 360 arellcat torpedo in white with a hard top. Looked very strange in all the traffic blazing along.

Possible spot of Arellcat on Morningside Road about noon on Saturday. Myself and Boyfriend of Fimm were sitting outside the cafe at the top of the hill opposite the Church Hill Theatre. I only saw the back of the possible Arellcat and commented that if it was her she was riding an unusually normal-looking bike! BoF replied that it didn't look that normal, but like a giant folding bike...?

Dutch couple headed into town on heavily loaded basic MTBs on the canal aqueduct. They'd cycled up from Newcastle to the Hebrides (cold and wet) via Dumfries and Galloway (lovely) and back down in three weeks.

I always get the cringe when I meet Dutch cyclists here.

That tunnel has some good vandalism. I was toying with changing my handle on here to Too Much Gambo when the graffiti first went up. The other one I like is Ed Koch for mayor.

You could just change the graffito.

You don't need to change your CCE username

We'll let you know when we've had TMG.

Chrisfl and stokers spotted at Harrison Park (where else?) by mini and micro SRD. It would seem HP is regaining its Mecca of cycling status.

I see this too. I was hoping to take a ride down to the new premises... Anyone got Dave's new address please?

Spotted lots of touring cycles this month. This morning I saw two on the A90! heading down to the Craigies turn off (Dolphinton Burn) having ridden on either at Cramond Brig or further up at Burnshot Road. Hoping they got off at Craigies turning! Approx 08:50 hours.

Spotted ACSimpson on Scotstoun road, and waved hello.
