A guy taking his parrot bramble picking on Arthur's Seat in a purple velvet covered rucksack/cage.

A few years ago, I used to semi-regularly see someone in the city centre walking around with a similar rucksack/cage. Possibly the same guy/parrot.

Either the hallucination is spreading or sanity has prevailed.

Chap with a cargo bike with two wheels and a big box at the front - like the Urban Arrow I think - coming down the Water of Leith path - box had baby in baby carrier in it.

Grey VanMoof Standard drop-down spotted at KB today...

I don't know if ordinary folk would spot it as different, but to bikey eyes, it's strikingly pretty...

I think I saw Jackson Priest?? on the NEPN at Telford. I waived hello and got a nod back, but a confused face. If not JP then someone from the Portavello club off here.

@DaveC - hello, yeah it was me, I think confused is just my default look. I'd been looking at your light, thinking that's got to be a dynamo audax-y type light - and I was right!

Impressive effort from a guy on a large cargo bike going up Torphichen Street. The sign on the side of the box showed he was from http://tupiniquim.co.uk

I initially startled but ultimately impressed two female joggers on the towpath this morning with my large ding dong bell. One of them cheekily commented "that's a big one!" as I passed by. A high five with gembo soon after.

It's slightly disappointing that there's not a 'Carry on Cycling' or 'Confessions of a Cyclist' or similar. There would be more than adequate mileage in terms of innuendo.

Spotted a lady on an Urban Arrow (in black - the bike not her) turning off NEPN near the 5 Ways junction. It had the Edinburgh Bike Festival logo on.

Also Chink In The Amour (intensional spelling mistake)

As I do nodding, saying hello, waiving and chatting to all and sundry who ride along my cycle commute, I slowly wear those 'blank staring' folks down, until they have to respond. It worked with George the Accountant from EBC, and so it worked again with a lady who I regularly see going towards Fife on my morning commute.

I'm getting to know a few folk now, so much so that my commute home is never without someone I know to chat to along the way. :D

@DaveC- likewise- do get a friendly nod from most Fife Bound cyclists, but there are two who I never get a response from - one yellow jacketed guy with a pannier and another on a MTB who comes from Kirkliston direction and seems to ride with his elbows higher than his head.

On the way in I find I don't pass many and am not passed by many and those that I do are going either much slower or much faster than I am, so less likely to have much chat. I also vary my route after the bridge a lot, so don't necessarily see Edinburgh bound cyclists on a regular basis.

no- there is a lady who has prominent elbows (and occasionally says hello) , but the MTBer has more prominent elbows and stubble, lots of it...

  26. Just befor 8am, a sleek tandem with child stoker and a rear child seat crossing from Carlton Terrace brae to Abbeymount.

If it was one of you guys, a belated "Hello" - I was waiting westbound on Montrose Terrace, sharing the newly painted and highly visible bike box with a car!

Recognisable recumbent tandem riding along the south shore of Loch Tummel.

I was in full racer garb with wife of ArobComp in similar. Lovely day for a ride around there - tesco nearmiss nonwithstanding.
