Some sort of red and white Schwinn-esque lowrider thing in the Meadows about 530ish lying on the grass. Big Harley-style handlebars

Like this? Chopperdome - we saw beside Backbeat Records.

This is more lowrider than Harley. Has tractor saddle and is very tricky to ride.

But it's human powered so not a bad thing of course! Just for cruising.

Sorry, had no photography device on me.

    Like this?

Can't see photo here. It had a raleigh-chopper style saddle with a "rollbar" think at the back. Front and rear wheels same size, somewhere between a 20" and a 24". Curving tubework like a schwinn. Bars like a chopper.

Kim, I think, deliberating which vegetables to buy in Marchmont.

Also gave some tyres and held a long discussion about the merits of heated bike bars and how yellow makes your bike go faster with someone that looked a lot like Steveo. If that wasn't you, sorry, someone else has got the tyres I offered!

Dammit that was my evil twin, goodness knows what he's going to do with those tyres!

just recalled another morning spot from the cinamonny comfort of Peter's Yard - Strangemeetings in fetching matching hat and coat combination.

EDIT - oh and another. (presume) the Bike Station's Bullit cargo bike heading up Leamington walk. Heavily laden down with an 8-pack of Carlsberg. Seemed like a bit of overkill for such a light load!

It would make this whole spotting thing a lot easier if perhaps for a week people on this forum could 'wear'/ attach something to themselves or their bike that made them stand out. The Citycycling emblem for example. Or is that not the point?

That would be too easy! You have to trawl through mountains of posts looking for snippets of people describing their commute route, their bikes or their garb and build up a folder of "evidence" to use against them in the hunt :)

Either that or just remember any particularly unusual bikes you see often works!

Thanks to the reference to chopperbike (Laidback, above) I have found an image of a bike not unlike the low rider I spotted last week (see page 25):

    chopperdome street king

Anyone on here claiming ownership of one?

Kaputnik - aye, I saw youse all in PY as I was going past! Felt a bit new/shy to come to the meet-up but I kept an eye out.

Never seen so many recumbents in one place.

On that note, one of the bar staff as the Queen's Hall rides a silver one. Don't know his name though as he started working there after I cut my hours back to once in a blue moon...

    Hello :).

I'm the now-very-occasional usher that thought you were a customer at first when you came in the south door a couple of weeks back (and then commented on your bike).

Figured as much, as you knew the correct term! There are a few bikey people at the QH, Ive seen a lot of brooks and carradice on the railings and the twitter feed recently reported having thiers stolen. I recon if we were to properly do the better way to work thing we would rack up very few car miles.

Oh and one of the guys at the mosque kitchen rides a mountain bike slathered in bright orange tape, with a halogen floodlight (the type used to illuminate buildings) bolted on the front with a 12v 7.2a battery lashed to the down tube!

At strangemeetings do you ride a pashley with a basket?

Oh and speaking of Pashleys, spotted a cool one yesterday in the Meadows - this one, complete with matching blue pannier and yellow helmet, ridden by a middle aged (I'm going to get such stick for that if he's on here!) gentleman. Looked fantastic.
