I overtook chrisfl this morning and we had a brief chat about whether the aqueduct would be closed yet. I took the gamble and carried on regardless and sure enough it was still open. This certainly isn't the first time and I don't suppose it'll be the last time that Scottish Canals don't do something when they say they are going to do it.

I was torpedoing through Bruntsfield early this evening and was spotted by a cheerily waving miniSRD.

Me on the towpath this evening. My home-bound reverie was interrupted by a woman asking where I got my jacket, which is extremely spottable and very bright in reflected light.
I hope I didn't put her off by my string of criticism of the jacket: although it's very bright, it's not breathable at all and is positively hot to wear (I rode home tonight in that jacket and a thin baselayer). After 2.5 winters, the proofing has gone on the sleeves and back so it leaks in the rain and some of the reflectivity is flaking off and it's got no pockets in the places you'd want them in a utility jacket and it's heavy and so on and so on.
I still wear it for commuting though, because it is incredibly bright in car headlights on unlit country roads.

Friskiffla waving a Peter's Yard this morning...
Not sure if you got or could see any acknowledgement!

@Roibeard I didn't see if anyone waved back so thanks for spotting me! I had to be in work earlier than usual so couldn't stop by unfortunately.

I didn't have time to wave, but I did see you whizzing up the hill.

So where does Gemboland start? How many informants do you have? Should I have paid homage once we had crossed the border ;-)

Cameras front and back pick up road and WoL path movement
Cup of tea on offer for those brave enough to come out this far on their travels.

'Mo take me a little risk here and propose that I just spotted @Frenchy heading up Gilmerton Road in a long dark green jacket. Headcam, spanking new black upright.
Less risky - @LaidBack riding @Kim's Urban Arrow up George IV Bridge.
Posted 7 years ago # -
Guilty as charged.
EDIT: Where were you?
Posted 7 years ago # -
@Frenchy
Thought so! I was heading the other way somewhere around Glenallan Drive. I'm sure your camera will have picked up my luminous green jacket.

Correct again!

A chap making his way up Comiston Road just now with a dim blue light on the front and a dim blue light on the rear...
... and no other lights, obviously.

Spotted AlanR waiting at the Greenbank crossroads this morning. I shouted a hello, but I was on my non-invisible upright(ish) town bike, and therefore mostly incognito.
I think I spotted Morningsider in Morningside, about half five. I was mostly interested in the super visible twin rear lights. If it was you, what's your larger rear light? It looks great.

Mrs Hankchief was at a work thing that Arellcat was also at. Both were using real names and weren't on a bike at the time so not sure if it counts...
