CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Bethany shop Leith Walk has a quite large bicycle trailer with removable plastic box insert sat outside for £20
Chair gives good scale
I'd have bought it myself but it is seatpole mount rather than axle mount so wouldn't go over the rack basket.
Spotted the big black EdFoc Urban Arrow this afternoon, electrifying its way through Morningside with Kim at the controls, with Mrs Kim in hot pursuit.
A bride and groom, or people wearing bride and groom costumes, on the Meadows west of Middle Meadow Walk. Possibly a kaputnik in Meadowbank Sainsbury and a black long-rack cargo-looking bike outside.
"black long-rack cargo-looking bike outside"

After Bingham stone throwing, met exchanged pleasantries and mutual steel bike admiration with red Thornton Audax owner on his way to the seaside
An Azor Oklahoma in the bike racks at Waverley.
Looked like this: http://www.designhaus.nl/files/gimgs/47_47_azo-19-085-oklahoma-nn3d-pu-krd57-matzwart.jpg
A kiddy carrying trike going up & over Maybury Road and into East Craigs at a sedate pace. #brave
If ever there was an advert for why the Craigmount Steps needs to be ramped, that was it.
A guy commuting up Argyle Place on a Onewheel electric skateboard.
Speaking of Onewheels, yesterday I spotted a guy riding an electric unicycle on Pitsligo Road. It looked like a Ninebot One, perhaps; it was greyish-white.
It was so unusual that I almost wonder if I imagined it.
There should be some sort of Platinum CCE membership available to anyone riding an electric unicycle to work.
@shuggiet with a wonderfully sonorous bell on the towpath this afternoon.
A little while later, a recumbent that I would lay good money on belonging to Arellcat on Comiston Road. The bike was locked to a lampost near the currently-closed-but-reopening-on-Friday Comiston Fry.
'Twas mine, Greenroofer. Just popping in to local businesses.
I liked the Comiston Fry. I wonder if they'll have new staff? Their battered jumbo sausages were great, and huge suppers, though probably not so great for the waistline.
@Arellcat - the notice on the Comiston Fry (assuming it's to be called that) implied they were hiring. I assume it's a total change of personnel. Friday will tell. A fish supper and a half-baked pizza supper from there was enough to feed the whole Greenroofer household.
The guy reopening the Comiston Fry is a fella from Hawick, ran the chippy at the bottom of my hill. Food was good, and he's a nice guy, but the comiston fry was my first local chippy when I moved to Edinburgh.
...Won't say which I preferred!
Having been to take up @Greenroofer's kind offer of a loan of his screw extractor set I spotted John Byrne nipping into Waitrose for his tea.
Councillor hoping for re-election tomorrow with a bagful of leaflets.
Spare tubes? Of course.
Spare tyres? Maybe.
Spare wheels... er...

2x Arellcat torpedo spots and a few other CCErs on the canal.
The canal was spookily quiet today with the schools off.
Saw someone doing the cycle one bike whilst pushing another thing with London hire bikes at the weekend.
I asked Bicycle Courier Man, usually spotted heading into town on the towpath, whether he would be voting today as he pushed his bike by where I was leafleting at Tollcross Junction earlier. I don't think he recognised me though.
I also spotted a bicycle commuter heading south from Earl Gray Street on a newer model Charge Grater 3 than mine.
A bubble* of police scuba divers (plus pals) preparing to get into canal between Gibson Terrace and Murdoch Terrace at 10.30am this morning.
Looked more like a practice given no "scene of crime tape" and lack of urgency, but maybe others know different.
* I googled collective noun for divers, and it is "a bubble". That made my day!
@jules878 a bubble:D was there on Thursday last week at the same time as well, so perhaps as you say, a training thingy
Cargo bike (I think an Urban Arrow) heading south on Raeburn Place. Black unbranded box, rider in hi-viz vest, kid in the box.
Broken glass on paths near green space now that it is sunny and warm enough to entice people out (primarily around the Meadows).
There'll probably be glass on the Restalrig Path following yesterday's shoutball performance. Haven't had a chance to check yet.
Two small processions of cyclists passing in the middle of the Leith Links path this afternoon:
Had a start this morning when I realised I hadn't posted a spot of the crazy handcycle with a frame comprising two massive girder-type uprights like bridge piers.
Then I remembered doing DIY with an assault rifle straight afterwards. Dreams, eh?
