Just how high is the fraction of Helios owners who are on CCE?

Daisy, Daisy - SRD - Hankchief have used for a while. Chrisfli is newer one. May have missed someone.

Many other Edinburgh users not active on forum. One used one at shop for sale. Looking for £1150. Around 2 years old and has Cane Creek rear seat post.

In sales terms the Helios is easily outsold at LB by ICE Sprint trike model. Closer to Fuego two wheeled recliner.
Odd in some ways as it works fine as a solo bike and if you add the big cargo rack it can carry a big volume box.

I seem to remember CCE was part of @Laidback 's sales patter...

1st time I had heard of it.

Yesterday a guy riding a recumbent trike bedecked with Scoatish and Canadian flegs north on the A82 south of Fort Augustus.

It looked utterly terrifying. Not sure why. Certainly didn't look like fun.

"I seem to remember CCE was part of @Laidback 's sales patter..."

All Edinburgh retailers have always been welcome to post here with 'interesting stuff' or "offers".

The Bike Chain used to do so quite often.

Of course LB has more "interesting stuff" than most.

@chdot, I still see Mark who used to own The Bike Chain and post on here, we cross on our commute as he heads out to Balerno and I trundle into town

Sustrans people on NMW. They turned out to be asking for direct debits in return for saying that the green bits on a map were traffic-free, rather than surveying opinions about bicycle infrastructure.

South Bridge, ambulance parked, with cycle leaning against it - not damaged in any way. In front of the ambulance, a taxi with a smashed back window. A policeman talking to a bloke and taking down notes. So there had been an accident, with a bicycle involved perhaps - but couldn't make any kind of story out of it.

One of the Haymarket Bike & Go hire bikes was in my work bike racks today. Strange, as the office is only five minutes from Haymarket.

Also a guy on a bamboo bike on Baird Drive - have seen him a few times there.

And Hart's Cyclery on his cargo bike but wheeling a second bike alongside.

Shouted at, but failed to catch the eye of @Greenroofer who was about to secure some Chinese dumplings by the looks of things.

The canal pusher inner gave the person ahead of me on the Slateford Aqueduct a hard time on my way home into town a little earlier as he attempted to give way to let them by. Luckily, he eventually got off his bike, as did I and the person behind me, and we all made it past successfully. I explained the potential danger of the situation after we were safely out of the way, but didn't think it wise to bring up within earshot of the culprit so I'm glad it came to nothing, although quite a queue had formed in both directions.

@resurf - indeed I was. Funnily enough I thought I heard the shout of my name but couldn't locate its source.

It was a rewarding ride into town along a route I'm not normally on, heading to a works night out at Chop Chop (which was excellent). At the Balgreen tram stop I was passed by (I am almost certain) @Wilmington's Cow, dapper in orange shoe laces and with either a light or camera on his h*lm*t. Later, on the A8 by the Chinese Embassy, I was passed by (I am even more certain, though I didn't see his face) @kaputnik in stylish cap, green socks and with one yellow pannier.

I was taking it very easy on a Brompton in normal clothes, trying not to arrive at the restaurant in a big sweaty mess.

Goodness me the path beside the tram is frustrating. I don't normally use it, but those stops for all the junctions really get one down after a bit.

@Greenroofer: did you stop for a seat at the tram stop? I passed someone with a Brompton who I thought may have been you...

@hankcheif at the Kaimes hill climb (also of course @hartscyclery )

Any other CCE-ers? I was the irritating marshal yelling encouragement before the finish line.

@Stickman - I did. It was the first appealing seat on my ride in and I needed somewhere to do a bit of paperwork (and chat to a former colleague who got off the tram)

    My thought process went

    - that looks like Greenroofer
    - there's a Brompton and I think he has one
    - but I'm sure Greenroofer once mentioned something about having an Elephant Bike, so it's probably not him

Out for dinner at the SO's godparents. One of whom is a cordon bleu trained chef and very passionate cyclist (although he doesn't get out so much these days). He was absolutely super keen to tell me about this incredible device he'd seen cycling in the west of the city. Said it was akin to nessie in length and had flags and seats for who knows how many kids!

"Yes..." I said, "That'll be Hankchief!"

Roibeard seems to be an easy spot this week - spotted three times on the Meadows this week including this morning.

Lots of people in racing costumes heading east along Porty High Street. Couldn't make out their livery.
