Greenroofer and Micro Greenroofer at the hub on the Meadows. We briefly discussed Active Travel Championing for Sustrans and elephant bikes (Greenroofer has one).

    "Chas suggested every day"

    Yes.

    But.

    Let's start with every month

Ok, let's start with every 'summer' month - April to September.

Perhaps Chas can ask how much this one cost (and if CEC paid any of it).

Saw quite a good percentage of CCErs (that I know by sight) at or around the Let's Ride.

I tried to make it easy for the reverse spot by having my families hi viz suitably labelled...

Not sure Mrs Chief was as impressed and it made meeting some real world friends more interesting...

Ditto (although didn't manage to spot HankChief, Mrs Chief or any Chieflets).

Saw two Elephant Bikes that weren't mine, and spoke to both their owners. One was already known to me (Arellcat) and the other was a nodding acquaintance to which I can now put a name.

Spotted a guy towing a trailer with a kid inside, between Temple and Carrington this afternoon. Assumed possibly an inhabitant of this forum. Hi if so (orange road bike in opposite direction)!

Three young German women in an Aviemore shop today. The assistant asked about their heavily laden bikes parked outside. They said that they had arrived at Newcastle, cycled their way up to Skye and were now heading to Edinburgh. Chapeau.

Spotted the EDFOC Hire Arrow locked outside the Theatre Royal about half a dozen times in the past two days, twice being loaded/unloaded with children

    Tourists staying at the Marriott?

Did I see a Gembo with a box of stuff crossing toward the Bike Co Op just before 2pm today?

I was disguised as a car.

One cannot go anywhere these days.

    Yes @nelly

I was returning the smoothie bike wot the EBC will only lend to Balerno types if I am involved as there is only really one rule of smoothie bike (two parts to same rule) attach jug to spindle prior to pedalling, cease pedalling before taking jug off spindle.

    Obviously keep lid on jug.

People from blerno and beyond seem not capable of following this one rule.

clean the jugs before returning of course would be something like common sense

I provided four hours of free childcare and liquid fruit five a day all morning yesterday at farmers market, Balerno with my amigos from Fietsclub Balerno

Roibeard on the MMW - who I waved at but didn't notice me. Followed by someone who shouted "Hi [insertname]" but I didn't see their face.

Not spotted in about three months now - Lilac Helmet Lady. This is disappointing since she was a reliable source of a friendly smile on many a morning (and sporadically also an evening) commute on the towpath. I hope that she is well.

Green Elephant bike with child seat/wicker basket tethered on Porty Prom. Kaputnik?

Indeed. To be clear, the wicker basket and child seat are two different attachments at differing ends of the bike.

Wicker baskets are a recognised form of child-container, albeit possibly for smaller children.

I assume that is why kaputnik made the clarification. Mini Kaputnik has been in one but I'm not aware it's a regular occurrence.

My basket will fit those under or around the age of 2. They definitely don't fit more than one child and so unfortunately my using the basket is now a very rare spot.

Very rare spot of Hankchief masquerading as a driverist.

I was converting from driverist to cyclist at the time, however we still managed a dynamic high 5.

Always good to remind yourself how bad the alternatives are.

Later on I saw a person riding a bike on QR9 with a small person in a child carrying rucsac, complete with full rain cover to keep them snug.

Also spotted this morning heading east on NEPN a Dave I think, with a bright orange bar bag.

Child in a child-seat-poncho turning right from Gilmore to Bruntsfield Place this morning, with the supporting seat eerily concealed.

Also a guy delivering a complex sermon to the BSO that has been chained up at the end of East Preston Street for years.

To be fair I think he was mad.
