Cyclist going up steps a la Danny Macaskill at Morrison Crescent. Only 3 steps but I was still impressed.

That was my first cycle out to my new base at the same office as Greenroofer so was exploring some route options. That reminds me I have a dynamo to be built into the wheel of our elephant bike, must keep up with the Joneses/rooferses.

@Amir Wasn't me you spotted but I was similarly attired. If you work hard enough you don't need layers :-)

Spotted a cyclist towing a kiddy bike via a follow me attachment through Edinburgh Park this morning. He commented that he thougt he had a long bike until he saw mine :-o

@Hankchief - you wait til you get older young man. I had winter gloves on but the cold still got through. I only removed the third layer after 6 miles. Mind you it was substantially warmer in the city

But that office has everything you need. Just stay there.

I wore a long-sleeved base layer yesterday and this morning, but I'm still wearing shorts (although I'm wearing liner gloves as well which may be cheating).

I followed a woman piloting what looked like an Urban Arrow (I think loaded with children) down MMW earlier.

A high-five on the way home with gembo, who confused me momentarily by exclaiming 'happy birthday'.

@amir Still too hot under exertion to go long-sleeved. I'm carrying long-fingered glubs in my bag, but haven't had to use them yet.

As I walked to MEadowbank Sainsbury's this evening wearing a wooly jumper, wool blazer and woollen scarf I was passed by a fast moving Winged Pig in shorts and T-shirt.

@wingpig according to KB weather station, discrepancy in experience in part explained by time and location. It was a little 2 degrees colder outside the city plus the temperature rose very quickly after sunrise. Suggest you move out of town to achieve preferred temperature

@amir, if he moves out of town will he need his glubs?

My commute crosses paths with an incoming out of towner friend, who was amazed at the differential in clothing between us.

Rural / suburban will be factor but we deduced that windchill would be bigger consideration, his 20mph vs my 10mph is 5 degrees of windchill.

An Elephant Bike outside Hart's. Presumably Greenroofer's, presumably with new dynamo.

A DIY electric assist (at least I assume that's what's going on here?) plant-carrying Dawes Galaxy parked outside the Oxfam bookshop on Raeburn Place this afternoon.

ETA: just realised the rear basket is a supermarket basket. Nice.

Does he know where you live? (I'm starting to twitch when I see you use emoticons.)

Where is the motor? In the bottom bracket?

Not sure if he knows where I live. Just me using them or emoticons in general? Mine means, I may seem cross but I am not cross I am only having a laff
