Seafield has never been twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Forth.

All in one bike in IKEA today with porteur rack front brake only. On a trainer so you could pedal but saddle post not attached correctly.

@baldycyclist, did not spot that. Mechanical disc brake coaster rear brake combo. Integrated mudguards. Chain guard in a pastel green colour.

@gembo ah pastel green, never spotted that. My colourblind eyes see grey every time I see one of those bikes.

@iwrats just some grown men playing at wee boys

@baldycyclist at maybe a sort of greenhouse grey you are right. With IKEA I judge it really as a test to see if I can get round both courses without any fall outs. The conflict is designed into the infrastructure. There should be a segregated route for dads/mums who hate IKEA/ anyone else who hates IKEA.

  14. @fimm on her way to the station last night. Looked very cheerful but it was a nice night and the working day was over.

I was running a little late this morning but still managed an unhurried high-five with gembo (although I have yet to get used to recognising non-pink winter plumage) followed by exchanging a smile with the formerly Lilac Helmet Lady.

    @galaxy this was in Livingston?
"...looked very cheerful..." this must have been before I got into a stupid shouting match with a driver who wanted me to cycle on the pavement because, he insisted, it was a cyclepath.

Ah yes, that notion that just because there is a cyclepath there you *must* use it.

I've been waiting to use the example of the over 60s bus passes given out free.

Like cycle lanes, it is there for relevant people to use if they want to but there is no compulsion for them to do so.

  19. @fimm, yes it was just on the road towards Livi North station.

Anyone can use a cycle lane if can ride a bike its non-excludable, the bus pass is exclusive to certain politically defined groups

    "Quebec English might be nice?"

apparently used to be a rather posh english, back when they ruled the roost. (or, 'oppressed the locals,' take your pick)

Spotted a Babboe cargo trike parked outside the zoo earlier in the week. Nice looking bike and even when you know it's an E it's hard to tell.

@acsimpson Babboe are certainly making their mark on the e-assist family market. Good if the market grows!

  25. @fimm, nope don't think it was me yesterday although I was grimacing into the wind so might have missed you.

@the canuck some would argue that hasn't entirely gone away, I understand! (My Montreal friends are firmly on the French end of things...)

Pretty sure I spotted Mrs Kim this morning as I trundled into town along Craigmillar Park. I was in disguise (cf. Spotted) on the big red enduro motorbike.
