Sorry! Couldn't find this one. Searched for it and it didn't come up - even with advanced search. Most peculiar.

"Searched for it and it didn't come up - even with advanced search. Most peculiar."

Indeed, I had the same problem which is why I assumed it was the same thread with all the posts missing.

Search is really good, but strangely fallible.

I noticed that too - 'spotted' just couldn't be found and I had to search by other means.

SRD sighted me with Max (dog) and heavy shopping! She was with family and was on foot too.

I reckon I could fit box on the tandem in load carrying mode for Max and also get shopping on panniers. Haven't done (yet!). Demo in window of Bike Works at moment - otherwise I might be tempted;-) Thing is that Max needs exercise (but he isn't strong enough to tow bike!)

Tandem (black) along Silverknowes/Cramond shore about 10:15 this morning. And a mini-peleton of around ten folk at the Cycle-friendly controlled crossing near Tesco in Davidsons Mains at 1:00 pm-ish.

Surely I've spotted a CCE contributor by now? Surely...?No..?

Another recumbentist. At the end of the lane between Duddingston Village and the road round Arthur's Seat. He was stopped, and I think the front wheel was off at the time. I asked "Are you ok?" as I always do. He was, so I went on my way, thinking to myself, "Well, you wouldn't have been much help anyway - it's not like you could have donated a tube, you fool."

Can't remember the colour of the bike, but it had a big barcode thingy on the side.

Very belated hello to Jackson Priest
    Thanks for asking BTW!
There were actually two bikes there and the one I was sorting front tube on was for an existing customer. He was in Sheep Heid recovering with Donny Murdo (another forumer) after an interesting blow out on the down hill left hand bend into Duddingston. The tyre in question was a two year old Stelvio 20" - split in sidewall at 100psi is not a good thing! First aid kit applied but no bad injuries despite it happening at high speed.

That was your shopping? I assumed it was an unplanned collection of something. Looked heavy. Am sure Max would like a box on bike - although doubtless the walk was good for him. Perhaps you should try a rucksack or a shopping trolley/bag? But panniers or trailer would be my choice!

@ Laidback - Weird, i had the exact same thing happen with my 2 year old Schwalbe Stelvio tyre that very morning. Luckily I heard a knocking sound as the sticking-out tube kept hitting one of the chain stays when I was wheeling it out of the house, so got it sorted out before I set off.

Glad your friend's ok - had a close encounter with some tarmac myself on an oily roundabout yesterday morning. Ouch.

    I spotted the blue and yellow cruiser bike again that someone else previously claimed. If it's the same thing then it is this;

£149.99 promotional item for Corona Beer. Looked a bit like it was made from beer tins close up!

I saw a cruiser bike today, too, but a different one - black with hot pink detailing, parked in the Meadows just behind the university library. Judging from the miniature license plate on the basket, the owner is named Emma :).

Wish I'd had time to take a photo, but was rushing home from work to sort house-moving stuff.

@wingpig "A woman on a foldy/shoppy thing with a big front-mounted bag, wide beret with a feather in it, long black woollen coat and three-inch heels heading unhurriedly into the wind up around the under-crag cycle path between the Parliament and Pollock. I was too warm in short breathable sleeves".....@chdot "I took a photo last year (it's the feather), but doesn't seem to be on Flickr."

Turns out this is our new secretary. What does it say about my work that we'd not yet met even though she started last year?
