    @Morningsider blithely ambling east on the Meadows, about to encounter my chalking from last night.

    The Nihola website says 120Kg of cargo + rider. The bike itself weighs 34Kg so all in that between 200 and 250Kg of pull.

    A man cycling a fixie in London with his brooks saddle so high I can only hope that he's already had any children that he was hoping to have. At full extension he was having to be on tip toe to avoid his knee locking out. How on earth that was comfortable or efficient I've no idea.

    A chap on a Brompton tackling the uphill on Old Dalkeith Road so well that I wonder if the bike may have had a battery hidden in one of the bags. Either way, it pleased me.

    I completely forgot to report that I spotted a film crew on the Meadows on Monday morning. I probably wouldn't have noticed on my usual commute, but I was doing the full east to west on NMW after picking up my bike from The Cycle Service. They were setting up to the east of MMW.

    A man holding something folding-seeming but also white-plastic-looking in the manner of one who has just retrieved it from a car boot on Abbeyhill.

    Kim and LaidBack on Argyle Place, both astride cargo bikes. I was on foot on my way to collect PoP tshirts (which are ace btw)

    @stickman - the Changeworks UA was a test ride with 12 boxes of EdFoC 2018 progs on board.
    On way to Bike Station. Other copies stored at LB shop. They weigh in at 9kg a box so was load of 108kg. Didn't feel bad though as Bosch assist just levelled route out. Went round potholes though where I could!

    Someone cycling up Dundas St without a saddle. They removed it so that it wouldn't be stolen.

    Stopped in Roseburn Park to speak to a very community-minded @HankChief. I'll leave it up to him to beg forgiveness from @unhurt for what he was up to...

    IWRATS bicycle detective.

    Coming down to Goods Corner there was a dude dressed as a workie coming into the ASZ ahead of me. Hello says I, something funny about that ratty hybrid....nicely maintained and quite high-geared drive train for one thing.

    Guy does an impeccable two minute trackstand waiting for the lights and wheelies off on green at a pace I could never follow on two wheels. Excellent skilz.

    A youngster on a semi, if not full, fat bike whizzed past me yesterday on the towpath at Wester Hailes. I caught him in the process of selecting tunes around Kingsknowe, but decided against overtaking, which was sensible because as soon as the chosen selection was shrieking out (as best it could from a mobile device), I was left in the dust again. I reeled him in a little again closer into town as towpath congestion increased (he wasn't passing politely, but I've seen far worse), but the open space of Boroughmuir 'plaza' allowed him to freestyle away into the distance once more.

    @IWRATS - what time? There's a bike shop employee who commutes that way and who showed his solidarity with recent industrial action by wheelying through the junction.

    @Frenchy

    08h50? He turned up Gordon Terrace towards KB. Had the look of a mechanic's pub bike right enough.

    I think that probably will be him. I saw him whilst walking the dog this morning - time and route fits.

    Although now I'm suspecting that he just wheelies through any junction, and so support for industrial action should not be assumed.
