The old Turnhouse runway closed to flights for good earlier this year and is currently awaiting its development under the Crosswinds badge. Meanwhile it is jammed pack with hundreds of cars (real nose to tail stuff). Long stay airport parking I presume...

@wingpig from your pov on the other side of the path just after the WOL bridge.

Alas I am unable to comment on your light, I am not sufficiently empowered by the NEPN police.

That bike looks brand new so I'm feeling like it's been put together like that in Decathlon rather than someone mucking up at home with a YouTube tutorial.

Please do leave them a note. I'm raging on the owner's behalf.

@trixie - I suspect you're right and that Decathlon put this together poorly, the cable routing is consistent with it being built up that way.

I will leave a note, but it has not appeared today yet. I really should have gone back into the office to get something to leave a note with when I saw it last night.

This lunchtime, in my Elephant Bike Parking space, a different Elephant Bike. This caused a moment of confusion because it was the same colour as mine, and I had to pause and think "I'm sure I took the Brompton today". It was only after I'd satisified myself that the Brooks saddle was infinitely nicer than the one on my EB, and that it had a child seat (which mine doesn't) that I could be certain of my sanity.

I may need to liaise with the owner to arrange a time for theirs and mine to be parked side-by-side.

Went along from Brighton to Rottingdean, 3.5 miles and only two Bromptons, disgusted.

3 bromptons in my morning run along the prom approx 40 mins

    One rat so far

It is maybe possible to cycle along the prom from Bognor Regos to Eastbourne? Or maybe just Hove to Rottingdean.

Certainly a cycle super highway, then a bit of narrower path then the under cliff route which is shared with pedestrians and the occasional vehicle that might be linked to cliff repairs.

3 pence a minute on the Brighton Boris bikes. Minimum charge £1. Or £72 a year for an hour a day.

Sorry @Stickman, I was on a mission to get home to take the kids cycling and was cutting it fine.

Had a lovely chat with @Daisydaisy this morning as I was exiting the new (temporary) George Street cycle lanes.

@hankchief, what are the George street lanes like? Should I be cool, mildly ticked off, fuming, raging or the full FURY?

Somewhere between ticked off and fuming.

Heading West, the middle block is signed and takes you along the central cobbles. Most cyclists were ignoring it an going salmon like into the Eastbound roadway.

At the end off the section you are steered back onto the correct side of the road where you are greeted by parked cars blocking your path - so had to squeeze past trying very hard not to scratch it.

The further West block is fine with a bi-directional path on the South side and no motor traffic.

Heading eastbound on George Street was 'cool' last night but probably more to do with the time of day - no workers but also no revellers yet.

Thanks Dougal, will readjust the Emotionometer for night time pre reveller setting too.

@unhurt,I did get a little bit of that in my youth but mostly the cartoon character Billy Whizz.

Later when I let the hair grow it was either mick hucknall or Michael Hutchence

Two chaps on a pale yellow tandem crossed my path this morning, from Brunswick Road to MacDonald Road. They didn't seem laden for touring either.

  29. At Balgreen Tram stop this morning, a couple of cyclists had stopped and appeared to be answering survey questions from a couple of Hi-vis wearing surveyors.

I vote that next CCE beers Frenchy and Iwrats must communicate only in the Doric.
