My cat was killed by an out of control dog that chased it right into my house a few years back, so IWRATS IM doesn't look all that ridiculous.

Katherina Mika on hermiston roundabout path was not happy that I had not dismounted its quite rare there is any one on that one. I did stop and wheel past on my bike.

A special kind of spot where @acsimpson hears the clickety clack of my bike arriving, sticks out his thumb and then climbs aboard so we can have a chat as we pedal up the hill.

Thanks for the lift. It was special indeed. My first time stoking so it took a little getting used too. I'll need to catch the earlier train more often.

As I mentioned I'm not sure what feels stranger cycling with your hands next to your knees or using such short cranks. At least the saddle remains up for me though, unlike Stickman.

Told by the MSP I was the smartest dressed person there (tis my Pom Pom Hat that came from the SNP shop in North Berwick back when they were a more comic party).

Extracted agreement from The Lord Provost that a bicycle smoothie maker was a metaphor for society.

What? Not Balerno Farmer's market again?

we need to take the crank shorteners off so i can give people lifts without totally weirding them out. but last time laid-back tried (he 'loaned' them to us 8 years ago) we could only get one off!

Twice I've been offered a lift on hankcheif big rig twice I've politely declined on the basis of needing my knees!

The first adult on the back of mine was Cllr Burns.

There will be an attempt (by harts) at removing the crankshorteners shortly. Will let you know how he gets on...

@frenchy, well with team work, different people bringing in their own special talents and a little bit of effort we can make a better worthwhile smoothie.

Sheeptoucher and mother of sheeptoucher and indeed unhurt whilst I was with mother of Gembo who was very keen on the Fairtrade Coffee in the Mill Cafe of Balerno yesterday. In a room surrounded by signs for fairtrade and sitting across from a display of all the fair trade ingredients used in the mill cafe MOG wished to know whether the lovely coffee she was enjoying was fairtrade. Two of the male serving wenches (at either end of the age spectrum) did not know. Strange as they were working in the place (maybe they were new). Fortunately MOS/U was pleased to confirm.

Dave Brennan clip on Cycling Today. Embedded in the article so not sure how to share. He is on the bears den road and calls out a driver who is on his phone. Who says Shut it you, are you a polis? Argument ensues about whether you can drive safely whilst on your phone. There is then a cut in the filming, Dave catches up with him later in the congestion and reminds him the speed is 30. Cars are crawLing along. Dave heads off, driver who is in the outside lAne then accelerates into the car in front of him.

The IWRATS mother once asked the waitress in Foyers Tea Room if they sold cups of tea. Only one beat of hesitation to her credit.

    @iwrats, indomitable

    Is that a word?

Mrs Richards in Fawlty Towers, is astonishing. I ordered a sea view. Basil - you can see the sea it's over there between the land and the sky

When you say "experimenting with" I imagine Snowy armed with a giant comedy syringe approaching a cringing Just Eat bike trapped against the invisible boundary of the virtual dock.

RTA at heriot watt yesterday evening around 19:00 near the corner on Research avenue North, before it turn to Fourth gait in the 5mph area.

Two cars had crashed the bumper had come off one. The people were standing by the road and the heriot watt pick up with an yellow beacon was there.

No bikes were harmed in this experiment.

Mind you, I hope the bikes survive contact with the festive/Hogmanay revellers. That'll be a proper test.

I was at HWU the other day for a lunchtime concert, and afterwards watched a complete tube driving a slammed VW Golf around the research avenue roads at something approaching ludicrous speed.
