There are some who can, but not so many that I don't remember them all! :D

    man on a peculiar bike...

taken by a man on a peculiar bus without a roof...!

I was keen to get by but Bobby's statue is always a high risk zone.

Anth Were you doing research? How many ASLs did it go into etc?

A man on a peculiar bike

It looks like he's riding a unicycle down a very steep hill...

Bobby McWheeler always was a high risk kinda guy. I never knew he had a statue to himself too. :>

    Bobby McWheeler

A legend in his own parking space.

As relevant today as he was in the early issues of City Cycling.

That there LaidBack, attempting to pervert another innocent to the dark side, via St Leonards Hill and then presumably the Innocent.

Oddly enough, I saw LaidBack, attempting to pervert another innocent to the dark side, in Argyle Place...

Maybe it was the same innocent. He looked to be taking to the dark arts with some alacrity.

Does anyone else think that this thread deserves to be put out of its misery (and 'spotting' restarted in new threads as appropriate) or allowed to run back to front with newest posts at the top?

No. Well, I don't. It's no hardship to click the last page. On the other hand, I do think it would be nice if we could celebrate the first anniversary of the forum by moving it to better hosting software.

It's the combination of clicking to last page AND scrolling down forever....I probably just need a better computer.

I think it should be terminated as no one ever spots me despite my lurid lycra :-)

If you click on the time beside a post it takes you to the last post in the thread then you can just scroll up till you see one you recognise..

    I've not spotted any one...

    Ah yes, that makes sense.

    I'd never realised (seriously!)

I'm back... so you can all have a chance to spot me on my way to and from work tomorrow :-)

Will the fun never begin.... ;-)

"so you can all have a chance to spot me on my way to and from work tomorrow"

Do we know what you look like?

I can be spotted tomorrow too - I'll be piloting an 8 Freight.

"Do we know what you look like?"

I thought that was half the challenge? :-))

Short balding bloke on a green home made hybrid heading from Haymarket towards Colinton (and back). So now you know!

I think it probably is, but some of us are challenged enough already!

Spotted Laid back with one of his customers ( I rekon) in the meadows this morning. Said hello as I cycled past them.

    Hello again....

He was a paying customer - had seen my tours on Innocent and wondered how dangerous they were (!)

We were down in Cramond for 12. Then round tour back to shop.
He really got the hang of it - a nice few hours out. Then I had to get back to some real work ;-).

I know recumbent spots are like shooting fish in a barrel, but I'm sure I went by SRD just after the bridge on Ferry Road and stopped him overtaking someone :) (but reading above he'll probably never see this :) )

Stepdoh - I agree. It's pretty easy to spot Laidback in Argyll Place almost any day of the week. Just for a bit of variety I saw Phil Kay on a Brompton on East Richmond Street, Monday lunch-time.

Stepdoh: thanks for giving me a much-needed chuckle this morning. Just renewed my very old ridacard (and not used for some years) for a month. Sad moment, resulting from not feeling quite up to cycling at nearly 8 months pregnant...

whoops got m' names mixed up :)(Go to jail, do not pass go)

Congratulations in advance, think if you are just renewing now you have done extremely well!

Now who was recumbenting down the ferry road path 'bout 5.30 then? I've met the person in question at the pubs, i'm just (obviously) a bit p*sh with names.

If its any consolation the only pub face/forum name I can remember is yours... can't think why...

Well I was once mistaken for someone from Shortland Street... (this is one for lovers of obscure antipodean soap operas). But other than being ginge (cough, grey) and slightly loud and obnoxious I cant imagine. Oh, and I had the crappest bike there by a country mile.

Spotted chdot yesterday evening as I cycled through the Meadows on a very circuitous commute home. I was recumbing, but not up at Ferry Road.
