I also spotted a tent in the woodland next to the wee park on Blinkbonny Road.

I did wonder if perhaps the cold weather night shelter for the homeless had closed for summer leading to folks taking to a tent, but the website says they're open til May.

I spotted an alleyway full of tents in Covent Garden. I think it's just the way things are now.

As I was waiting on the no 44 bus at the top of bridge road last night to go into town to see Norman Watt Roy (saw him 35 years ago with Ian Dury) - boy can Norman play a bass guitar, painted gold and size of a water buffalo.(the bass I mean, not Norman) Wilko a pale imitation of his former self but that just brings him down to normal levels of energy. A lot of old very happy people, well men mostly, queue for gents ten times as long as other facilities.

Oh yes sorry spotted unhurt in the far distance emerging from the WoL path off to visit family. Maybe 17.45pm

Tall black figure coming up Waverley escalator. None other than our Illustrious Leader. Later he appeared in fruit market where I was having coffee with Mrs Garto (the new owners do not do the bad boy which was a triple shot latte I favoured, well ok @EJStubbs it might have been a triple shot flat white).

Alas despite looking straight at me Illustrious Leader's mind was elsewhere, scanning room for whomever he was hoping to meet. Or maybe for a good photograph?

  6. gembo. Lots recently. His plaintive requests to return have got the better of me. He does Bambi eyes very well. I'll probably just be posting in the wildlife threads die to some new volunteer roles I now have. Just as soon as Flickr is workign again for photos.

“Just as soon as Flickr is workign again for photos.”

Uploadr has been unreliable for a while.

Welcome back. It's also a pain in the face to just get the string to post from Flickr once the Uploadr has designed to upload. Currently requires use of Firefox and the use of two fingers at once to long-press the generated BBcode and simultaneously Select All then Copy.

    “Currently requires use of Firefox“

Now working again with Safari (iOS), but you need the “request desktop site” option selected on iPhones.

I like a sign. Spotted one that used to say "Please Drive Carefully" that had been altered to read "Please Drive Car Fully".

Who knew Nick Cook was an artist?

I spotted a new name on the forum. Welcome. You may have posted before or infrequently and I've missed.
Actually we should have a 'first post thread' to give context to the people behind the handles?

Hi! So far I’ve just posted on the Leamington Lift Bridge and parking enforcement type threads. I’m based near your shop and ride a light blue Gudereit city bike (as well as the city hire bikes!)

May be called 'fantasy' but Gudereit at least keep their spec very realistic!
8 speed hub, dynamo lights, chainguard, mudguards, rack. Looks good!

Lot of penitents dressed as KKK pushing madonnas and christs on the cross around town with fake and real candles and brass bands. Semana Santa.

@chdot @laidback it’s a great spec. I think they’re one of the many medium sized Mittelstand companies that drives the German economy, but I wish we had more of their bikes over here. Mine isn’t the Fantasy but it’s very similar, from 2014 or so. Dynamo lights are the best.

    @Ribena - nice bike!

Spotted @neddie and family on the M74 and subsequently by chance for lunch at Tebay. We were not on bikes.

A group of 8 - 10 bike first-aiders on St John’s Road this afternoon. Might have been a training ride, but they were controlling the road.

  30. @Ribena, I think there are a few wild elephants on here, but time and attire match perfectly!
