Someone going the WRONG way round the hill, without any lights. On a bike, obviously.

Our favourite sort of German executive saloon coming along Gilmore place on the wrong side of the road (attempting to overtake a cyclist that was attempting to overtake all the cars parked in the "bus" lane).

I played chicken with it for about 50m then started waving madly at it to get out of my way.

    It didn't.

I made alternative arrangements and offered some loud advice about which side of the road we drive on in this country.

I must practice aiming the clearing of my nostrils better.

Yes... sorry I had chain issue (after my key issue!) so was stopping or maybe just setting off again in wrong gear.

In the evenings, I regularly see a chap on a racer with a canary yellow h****t and a bright orange baggy teeshirt whizzing down Drumbrae North whilst I'm slogging up it. Always wonder if it's someone on here?

TBC and I then spotted each other later on too so it was a giant three-way spot that one. :-)

"Circles allows for easy grouping of and sharing with friends of family. Hangouts bring the "unplanned meet-up" to the web with group video chats."

Who needs real life when you've got the Internet? (I think that's irony.)

    "Facebook (v3.0) => GoogleFail"

    Probably.

    I won't be using either.

It's interesting that FB is working with Apple, so the 'future' is more iOS v Android.

Meanwhile 'we' will just meet/spot randomly and/or at PY coffee mornings.

Dave Crampton at the bridge across A90 just before Cragiehall, on his Galaxy taking the scenic route back to Fifeshire in the sun?

Forgot this yesterday. I saw that bloke (Mihlawhdh, apparently) who's usually accompanied by one of those squash-faced wee dogs and can usually be seen cycling around the pavements near Lothian Road and Brougham Place actually cycling on the actual road between Fountainbridge and Morrison St. I was going to get a photo but he'd already gone back onto the pavement by the time I caught up.

Ah yes I know that guy, come into the pavilion regularly and eats all the cake. I have never seen him cycle on the road (or above 5mph) so good spot!

On Sunday night, around the hill: despite the barrier being in place to stop cars, a woman was cycling up the footpath, beside a man on the roadway. Next time round, they looked like they'd just emerged from a dip in Dunsapie Loch. Next time round they were dressed and heading off. Also a girl going the wrong way round the road at the top and later down the footpath.

Steveo - Was parked and planning with infrequent forumer Donny Murdo at Cafe Citron (It's a bit like a Jaques Tati film set).

Doing some Ready Steady Bike. We call two lines of cones the Corridor of Doom* and that seems to amuse our clients. We had big group and one was a non-balancer so he was on the tandem for 20 mins. He's got hang of riding solo now...

    * Real one is of course Princes Street.

I won a new front wheel courtesy of EBC - very reasonable, all agreed i hadn't used the bike much and hub on front wheel ruptured on one side only. Nick at Freewheelin had suggested I took it back which was a good call. EBC also serviced the hub so it stopped making the churning noise on way home after fill-up at project coffeee. Marmite today causing smiles inm8 tailback

Helios heading south on MMW with (I presume) Dad, young female stoker, and younger sibling in childseat.

I was on Helios headed north, sans stoker or passenger.
