Too many spots to list at bike breakfast & 20mph protest.
Enjoyed @gembo being shushed for talking over the speeches. MiniMcR also quite vocal but mostly re: strawberries...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

@gembo being shushed
Extraordinary.
It wasn't entirely successful...
@Ed1 it sounds like a closure for 'environmental sensing experiements' that are supposed to be taking place on the campus this month: https://www.hw.ac.uk/news/noticeboard/2019/environmental-sensing-experiments.htm
Spotted a red velomobile turning right onto Wester Coates from Roseburn this evening. Was that the famous torpedo I've seen referred to on here?
@iwrats it was extra ordinary. He yells me Could you be quiet, I can't hear the speeches and I am like I am so sorry I didn't know you were listening.
The other green MSP later at Holyrood gave a much better speech, which if you recollect I was most enthusiastic about
@edinburgh87, it was indeed.
:) s/he looks like quite the machine
Two very pretty Kirks today. The first was in the tiny Hamlet of Kirkurd. On the little cut through from the Moffat road (maybe A701) to the Peebles Road A72. The second on The A72 at the slightly bigger but also more spread out tiny hamlet of Lyne.
Like seeing the second one more as it means the turn to the beautiful Meldons climb is not far away
Anyone read page 9 of the Metro today?
Nope. Top right of the paper version.
(No photo and not online)
Nice bit of understatement.
Is there a docking station 20 miles outside Carlisle?
:-)
Friendly lady on a Babboe kinderfiets at Cameron Toll.
Only noticed this the other day -
Reminiscent of the Corporation Buses logo.
@chdot. Is that one of the XLBs? I've noticed a crest on them now they are serving the 31 route, but I have not taken a close look.
On the towpath just now, firstly @Dave making very good progress on a bike that was humming either because it had knobbly tyres and he was going quite quickly or because it was electric. Then about 10 seconds later @ARobComp making much more relaxed progress while doing something he wouldn't be allowed to do in a car. I'm guessing he was on his e-bike too, although there was no audible humming.
doing something he wouldn't be allowed to do in a car
If I know ARobComp.....drinking beer?
Limmy cycling from Weeg to Helensburgh live.
Unlikely to be SFW.
@IWRATS audio definitely not safe for work. Disappointing lack of bell usage when overtaking another cyclist there.
Crows blackbirds ravens. Naebiddy can tell the [Rule 2] difference.
Disappointing.
Jist trynae get beach ready, y'know?
SHE'S TURNED THE WINDS AGAINST US!
I hope he encounters a contraflow bike lane.
Oh god the constant comments about helmets in the chat...
Who the heck is Limmy?
[Edit: question now only semi-rhetorical]
