Mirror image moment this morning on the Blackhall path near Craigleith. I was heading there by Helios with micro-NiallA stoking and we passed a father and son Helios team heading in the opposite direction. “Nice bike”, they said - I concurred... Think it’s someone here - Roibeard maybe? If so, hello!

Twitter suggests that was likely to be @kaputnik.

There were signs for a cycle event in central Edinburgh but the road closures I had to negotiate were for Queenie

Is this (and the other ones on the NEPN) a CEC invention?

Anyone know the reason(ing) for this?

Looks like the covers might be in the process of coming off Leamington Lift Bridge, which is a little late for the suggested timing of twelve weeks from the end of March. There's a fenced off area of damaged paving at Boroughmuir Plaza though so even if the bridge is to reopen soon there's a new obstacle.

@chdot - certainly the signs like that were discussed at the Active Travel Forum some time ago. I recall also seeing the ones about strobe lights that have since appeared in Real Life. My impression then was that we in the ATF were being asked to consider the messages and designs, so I'd say they were a CEC invention.

I suspect the signs were for the Women V Cancer 100km overnight ride round Edinburgh on Saturday night. It started and finished at Musselburgh and St Margaret's Uni.

A bit of a slap of a high-five with gembo on the towpath this morning.

  12. Gorgeous light-blue Orbit tandem this morning, with a mini-stoker and loaded panniers, making better progress into the wind than I was on the Elephant!

Once again, I only realised I'd spotted @amir after we'd already passed each other. One day I'll realise before it's too late and actually say hello.

Gorgeous light-blue Orbit tandem this morning in the bike park at work. If it belongs to who I think it belongs to, it's a new-looking upgrade to the previous tandem that the stoker had outgrown.

I've pointed the owner to this thread.

I caught up with Fimm heading into town on the towpath on my way home from work earlier and we had a nice chat along what was a surprisingly quiet Gilmore Place.

Speaking of @ARobComp - could this beautiful e-vanmoof with hamax fitting be his, sitting looking embarrassed to be joined by my hideous contraption?

Oops, I incorrectly capitalised your username! Yesterday, I also spotted piosad cycling along Dundee Street late in the evening as I was wandering back home from the cinema.

Spotted Algo spotting me in my office communal area. We shall be officemates for a few days before taking a break and being office mates again in October.

We were also dressed almost exactly the same. Great minds dress alike...?

Nice to see familiar face at work (who isn't one of my team).

Also multiple spots of Greenroofer as per above but also at the weekend when I had mini-ARobComp at the canal to watch the DUCKS which must be capitalised when it is referencing mini-ARobComp talking about DUCKS

Was rudely awoken from my daydreaming this morning on the FRB by a gust of wind which blew me sideways. I looked up to see DaveC heading my way thankfully we weren't too close and had time to line up a high 5.

@acsimpson also had a Froome moment this morning descending at Elsrickle and nearly lost my front wheel in a gust though fortunately I had both hands on the bars.

@Roibeard unwittingly participating in a race from Summerhall to Minto St. His superior route choice and filtering skills left me no chance.

  25. Velow Bikeworks in Portobello (where Earthy used to be) as I popped to the sorting office this morning.

I wonder if I can finally find someone who can sort out bottom bracket cups for the 30s Sunbeam....

Spotted by algo at the lights at the Commonwealth Pool. Took me a minute to realise he and mini-algo were waving furiously at me.
