  4. @fimm heading out of East Calder as I was heading into it.

Just about to go round a corner and through a massive puddle across the road. Did your feet get very wet?

Oh! Chap with a beard and a rucksack?

I was way too cautious with that puddle. I could have cycled through it just fine. I rolled through pushing myself along with one foot. That foot got a bit wet. Many thanks to the person coming in the other direction who waited for me to go through before driving through themselves. They got a wave and a "thank you".

@CC.CC @fimm I don't think I've ever seen a puddle in that place before. That was the only puddle that was left this morning. It was quite busy there when I was passing there this morning (3 cars behind me, 3 ahead) but everyone was nice, polite and giving way.

  7. Yeah, that was me @fimm!

It's never nice going through a puddle that big, but I knew the road was pretty smooth there so took the chance.

There was another similar one under a bridge heading into the Newbridge industrial estate. More traffic there but thankfully the driver coming the other way waited for me to pass first as well.

a matte black upright dutch bike with a @laidback sticker locked onto the same rack as mine!

Took me a while to figure out who it was (as in, had to stop in and ask Laidback!)

Fimm On way home as well

Le petit Mort has died a little death and become Tables. Which is a. A shame and b. Probably for the best in terms of covers but c. Shifting to the ever popular informal dining

I would not have spotted gembo if he had not shouted.

@Stickman, it was probably me you saw, I was handcycling towards Cramond on the prom on Wednesday. Saw at least one recumbent at the Boardwalk cafe.

    @SRD,
Aha! Thought that was your Dahon I was next to yesterday. I was really feeling the need to get my bike under cover, so really appreciated those new racks.

Used to be a pub so you would think the sole objectors in the cottage next door would be happy but then maybe they bought their cottage when the pub was closed down.

I guess our club meets at the high school then goes to a cafe and ERC meets at Commie Pool and Clarion in Sports Centre car park etc

But this is a bit like when people buy a flat above a pub and then complain they can hear noise. Oooft.

@gembo: Apparently the guy objecting used to own the pub and is trying to sell his house with little success.

@stickman, what a shame theobjector couldn’t love cycling turn his pub into cafe and bike shop and stay in his house all one big happy family instead of this particular shtick

To be fair, you'd have needed eyes on the back of your head. I was a wee bit behind you, and turned round at Dryden.

Danny MacAskill appeared out of back shop at the Bicycle Works today. Closest shop of course to his show.

Chap on a skateboard this morning being pulled along canal towpath at boroughmuir heading west. Oh yeah, by three huskies.

This evening joined by Mouse on homeward canal towpath. I prevailed upon him to come with me to Heriot-Watt watt he then prevailed upon me to go through car park H then the running track in the trees. Then the backroads of currie, we talked of many things/

Last night: about 6 tourists (sounded Dutch?) on bikes with loaded panniers and bags on the towpath heading west.

Later on two chaps with bikes and bikepacking setup on Fauntainbridge steps/ramp underpass.
