"Did you both wave?"
If I'm on the Kaff and pass another rider on a Kaff I always make a point of mentioning how nice a bike they have. Roughly 50% of the time they cotton on... ;)
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

What happens when they pass you?
.
Oh, that doesn't happen.
Did you both wave?
I've spotted a Helios when overtaking it (distinctive rear profile), and been spotted by someone walking theirs through intersection while I was stopped in ASL. But this was head on, and I didn't twig right away. then I shouted 'hiya!' but had already gone past.
"I didn't twig right away."
You need the I-Spy book of uncommon spotted bikes.
"Oh, that doesn't happen."
Actually, it's more that if I'm passed there isn't the time to see, process, and engage. Which might explain why only half cotton on now I think about it...
But no. Of course. It doesn't actually happen... ;)
chdot, your post was number 1234...!
Spotted at Dalgety bay train st this morning at 08.30, a guy on a unicycle riding up towards Asda and the trading estate.
Heading east into town about 930, past the telephone exchange at Fountainbridge. Bike towing a tag-along (no passenger) with the little coxswean behind a fairing and infront of the captain. Mr SRD perhaps?
bingo!
(not sure what a fairing is; seat as supplied by Mr recombodna)
All credit, btw, not just to my husband (not many guys take babies to the health visitor) but to the health visitor who was not only unfazed by baby arriving for checkup on bike, but positively encouraging.
I think this is the same HV who during the big snow & ice of late November did all her rounds in heavy walking boots by bus and foot.
fairing = perspex screen to keep the wind / rain off
Laidback (again) riding up Johnston Terrace, I even waved...
Sorry Steveo ... was on return from school dreaming of my lunch. Had just evaded Belhaven lorry...
Looks like a riot squad Moulton
According to David Byrne the Moulton is a folding bike. Do you think we should correct him?
Tandem spot -
no comment.
Mark from tbc. Only he spotted me, in a pair of matronly shorts only slightly less embarrassing than that skirt above :)
Oi! Swine!
Strangely I can now see Flickr-linked images on the site through my work PC. Although I still can't access Flickr itself.
Oi pearl!
No-one would have have known it was you...

Exactly the same has happened here as of yesterday. Maybe our companies use the same software/ruleset for blocking stuff?
That sounds likely/possible. Either that or Wordpress has changed the way it embeds the images from Flickr?
Oi! Swine!
Amazing eh? he makes me look fat and you look short! (neither of us really being either...I think)
It's a canny knack he has.
(and no, you're not... :) )
Camera never lies.
It's all Photoshop.
That's two people outed themselves.
Another one along soon...

Interestingly enough, the same has happened in Lloyds Banking Group-world.

That'd be my guess. The URL's probably changed to one that doesn't contain any forbidden words.
"Interestingly enough, the same has happened in Lloyds Banking Group-world."
Same world... ;)
Possibly Min, running down the Canongate past the tat shops?
