    I noticed that one of the wooden bollards at Bridge 8 seems to be "missing" so think they might have got the car on there and driven it around?

    Was it @fimm running at the junction of Slateford Rd and Shandon Place this evening? I was the cyclist in a red top.

    Rode up Leith Walk from Pilrig Street with @neddie. He took the cycle path I took the road. At the top of Leith Street we agreed both options were horrible.

    @bill did you make the right turn from Slateford Road into Shandon Place, and then right again to Shandon Crescent? The runner was wearing a white jacket and a blue running pack? Yes, that was me.

    @fimm yes, I did turn into Shandon Crescent. And yes, the runner had a white top, a pack and also clear goggles(?). I will say 'hi' next time.

    Had a nice chat with a chap using a kick bike on the NEPN southbound yesterday evening. A Scandinavian thing - I've seen some when we visited Stockholm. Looks like a decent work out!

    @I were RATS

    The bike lane was littered with peds. One completely oblivious.

    The London Rd round-a-blender was a doddle, though, with all cars stationary.

    I also shook my head at a speeding, red-light jumping BMW driver, who gave me the V sign in return.

    @neddie That reminds me, I have a video from yesterday to upload. Some guy walking up the bike lane with his back to me, about a third of the way into it, no headphones. I pinged my bell repeatedly from about 10m away (2-3 seconds away) to 2m away, then used my airzound. Still no reaction and he didn't move. I passed him (too closely, but slowly) and said "EXCUSE me" in an annoyed voice. Still no reaction.

    Need to check the rear footage to see if he moved when I passed; either the guy was deaf (in which case walking up the bike lane is even more stupid) or being a complete Rule 2. I reckon the latter.

    @EdinburghCycl

    Was he a big lad with shorts and sleeveless top talking loudly about God? He is back on the High St. startling fellow. Wears a bunnet with ear flaps, often has rucksack and volumes of water. At one point tonight i thought i had a bit of a conversation with him about at least it was not raining and he laughed but on reflection he was really just talking to the ghosts he sees

    That guy - was outside Lidl in the Southside with the big bottle of water on his shoulder, cocked like an axe, and asking passes-by DO YOU WANT SOME?

    He once shouted HAHAHA NIPPLES at me on a cold winter's day on Jeffrey Street. Public schoolboy well read but not books you have read.

    @gembo Nope, this guy.

    He MUST have heard my bell or air horn, and even if he was deaf or extremely hard of hearing, he didn't move even after I passed.

    I probably should have given him more space (not that there was any, I'd need to go on the tactile slabs), but I was annoyed.

    Gembo going down from Balerno as I was going up.

    The speed camera on Slateford Road flashing at what must have been an oncoming car, I think.

    Belles group near Roslin. Only recognised one person, who I don't think is a CCEer.

    Someone to whom I had given way on the towpath somewhere to the east of Harrison Park this afternoon gave very effusive and friendly thanks. Unfortunately I didn't recognise them, partly because the sun was behind them, but if it was someone on here then thank you for being so cheery - and sorry if I looked a bit confused!

    On my tour of the borders yesterday:
    1) At the Honey Farm bridge, a fit-looking older couple. He on a road bike, she on an upright e-bike. They both outpaced me (who had 300 miles in the legs by this point), but it was nice to see how an e-bike lets people of (I assume) different abilities enjoy time together on the bike.
    2) A woman with a nice fluorescent Kinesis loaded with panniers front and rear caught up with me where NCN 1 joins the A1 outside Berwick upon Tweed. I was carrying my bike past the hawthorn hedge clippings all over the cycle path shortly before reaching the sign that says "Berwick upon Tweed welcomes cyclists". She said she was "too knackered" to have noticed the hedge clippings. Whatever her physical state, she was definitely on an adventure.
    3) A chap combining a white beard and shades on an Ice Trike (I think) near Ayton (I think). He seemed to be enjoying himself, and certainly looked very stylish.

    Spotted the council tow-truck about to spring into action in the Leith Walk clearway this morning.

    It could spend all day every day there and never run out of prey.
