@twinspark I seem to remember an advert for (presumably) said bike shop with a bike built this way...

Near Rannoch Station yesterday, a couple on a Pino or similar set up for touring. She was stoking in front, he was piloting from behind. They were both swaddled in old-fashioned cagoules and the bike was laden with panniers.

I hope that, when I am as old as they appeared to be, I am able to ride with the gusto and enjoyment they were displaying.

@jdanielp chap in front of you thought I was in his way? I thought I had pulled in a bit and he had not changed his line - I know I had tail wind so was going faster than normal.

Just after that @Roibeard in what looked like a new jacket

On the back of a bus, belching diesel fumes in stationary traffic a poster advertising the 'vehicle emissions partnership' or something like that. So obscure Google can't find them.

Picture of the Beatles crossing a polluted road, asking everyone to turn their engines off in traffic.

Left hand drive French jeep twice this morning that seemed to be belching smoke that brought to memory heavy agricultural diesel engines I have known in the past.

My bike and two lecky bikes going to Livingston on the 21.25 to Glasgow Central

First lecky was owned by nice young man from Uzbekistan. He is a deliveroo cyclist.

He has had 4 lecky bikes. His first was stolen on Nicholson St a week after he bought it. (Second hand)

Temperatures in Tashkent can get up to 60 degrees centigrade in summer and the traffic lights melt.

Our chat interrupted by drunk teacher from Carfin - Mr Devlin. He mistook Uzbekistan for Ukraine.

I was in the No 11 bus following Morningsider through Morningside this evening. I think the bus driver was reasonably respectful of the extremely competent and confident road positioning that Morningsider was displaying.

Once again yesterday I concurrently spotted and encumbered @jdanielp (I think) - this time going north on MMW as he was coming south - I was being inconsiderate and cycling two a breast as I was having a chat with someone on the way.... Then I tried to catch @neddie coming down a particularly treacherous mound...

    Ha yes.

I spotted jdanielp on the blind corner of the top of MMW and I think he spotted me, but both too last-minute to make an ack.

@algo I spotted neddie at the top of MMW yesterday but I didn't spot you I'm afraid :\ I did spot gembo on Gilmore Place this morning. Hopefully the King's Theatre Junction wasn't too much of a disaster.

@jdanielp, cyclist in front of me waited for oncoming traffic which is fair enough, cyclist behind us overtook us both on the corner. THis is of course NOTHING.

THe first cyclist had no gloves on, which we discussed at the next junction - Well hARD

I heard the ring of a bell and some whistling coming from the longer of the two bridges on the towpath at Harrison Park as I was approaching it this morning, so I came to a halt to let the person exit. It turned out to be gembo, who was appreciative of this gesture, so hopefully that went some way to making up for me cutting him up at the metal chicane at the exit of the previous bridge just the other week. I then stopped to have a chat with Big John, during which I think that chrisfl passed and greeted us.

Deeply uncharitable of me to mention it but my least favourite beggar has re-appeared on MMW after a long absence. The guy who sits on the cyclepath and puts his coin collecting receptacle in the middle of the path to George Square so you can’t turn on or off it.

A rather impressive topical light show spotted in a window while out guising with the wee ones turned out to have been put on by @chrisfl et famille.

A flashing police car parked behind a white Beemer on Seafield Road. The polices were around the passenger door of the Beemer in an attitude suggesting interest in the occupants.
