Councillor Scott Arthur about to negotiate the Drumbrae roundabout on his new Gazelle, purchased from @Hart’s.

If he keeps selling at this rate to councillors then there could be questions asked at the Finance Committee.

    @Algo - hi/lo 5 at Argyle Place junction today 8.50ish.
One of many out rolling over the leaf mulch on parts of MMW.

Corrected - @algos's reported already while I was answering something else!

Someone recognised me in the dark along the WoL at the Warriston bend. Didn't see who; I'm trying to place the voice.

Big John congratulated me for taking a stand when I stopped to chat to him at Kingsknowe this morning and explained that the reason I was running early was to picket at Heriot-Watt. I asked why he has been on the towpath again quite regularly lately given that he moved to Eyemouth fairly recently. He told me not to laugh before explaining that he has moved back again because he bag been missing Edinburgh... Aww.

@jdanielp, i had been at the Richard Dawson gig in the Caves. Bizarrely in my work suit after breaking the non-existent picket line at informatics. Info-magics? So nipped back to office and changed into cycling gear. Went back to the caves heard him doing his good song Jogging then bouncer hassling me as my bike was blocking the fire escape.

So headed out into the deluge

    You at the pictures?

Spotted my pal Tom and his wife in their flower shop Juni green later (Gail running a Xmas wreath making class i think)

    Big John owns several houses

@gembo I saw a bonkers Anime called Promare during which I fell to sleep despite the animation being frenetic.

Big John responsible for the housing crisis?

Spotted three separate cops on motorbikes with English plates and non-Police Scotland markings at the Bridges/Leith Street junction.

Brenda or Alexander must be gracing us with their presence.

They were sending vans heading west across the junction up the Bridges. Big bus snarl heading east. Unfun.

On the Tour of Britain they were met at border and given authority to operate here by PS as under different jurisdiction.
BJ did an hour or so in Scotland yesterday so can't be back again surely? Was at a mystery location in Fife away from public. Tory Party here launched their manifesto which I'm sure had a sustainable travel part in it... @hankchief asked them on twitter if they supported Roseburn route :-)

Spotted Hankchief this morning, muscling the Hankchiefmobile up Maybury. I was in disguise as a car passenger, on my way to the wild lands across the bridge.

Spotted Alison Johnstone MSP in non-MSP mode at the cinema. Hopefully she had better luck than I did.

Two podencos and 4 assorted greyhound/chihuahuas all in st Bernard’s bar. Alex the barman is waiting for curstomer to mistake the dog biscuits and dog popcorn for human bar snacks.

They have really pushed the boat out with the Xmas decor too. A minute Xmas tree figurine and a winter post box with robin and Scottie dog mis en scene about 3 inches across

Twelve empty coaches parked around near the cruise ship terminal on Sunday afternoon, three with running engines. In the absence of any visible cruise ships I assumed they were responsible for moving people between hotels and yachts.

Spotted @Frenchy this morning from my vehicle - beeping in support, but slightly ashamed to not be on the bike as usual (I have excuses but none of them really wash)...

chrisfl greeted me as he overtook on the canal towpath by WHEC this morning.

@Arellcat what did you see? Any idea what Alison was seeing?

Arellcat's verfierfachengänger/Doppelgänger is getting more and more enthusiastic in their greetings of me. I'm pretty sure that at one point soon we might do more than an enthusiastic salute and start to shout greetings. It's putting a lot of pressure on me to come up with the perfect greeting. Keen to rival the Gembo high 5 (which I'm yet to be in a position to receive)

Sorry. Liam Neeson in Rob Roy. I mean like 1994. Anachronistical.

Shortly before the real Algo went past along South Charlotte St I passed a doppelgänger going doubly across George St who looked sufficiently similar to internally remark thereupon.

@wingpig- nice to see you twice. When my Dad comes up to visit he sees "me" about 10 times a day - I just fit into the category of scruffy tall bespectacled bearded blokes...

Hopefully the first time this happened he gave you an earful for being rude and repeatedly blanking him when he finally found the real one.

We should all adapt our appearances to become unique. I suggest a massive afro for @algo.
