I was in three days ago and they never said. All four copies in Blackwells are scribbled.

Guy cycling up Kirkgate from Currie with his kids literally in tow, the kids had a rope in hand attached to their (I assume) father.

Blue sports car RF06 JFU driven past two liveried police cars on Leith Walk by a gentlemen watching a film on his telephone propped against the steering wheel.

@wingpig at my place dropping off a bike for BFR - most generous and appreciated.

What was more remarkable though is that he carried it strapped to a rucksack while cycling a Just Eat bike. Much respect..

    Just posting to get 13000.

    Had an unspot today.

Went to see the basking seals.

But the tide was to far in by the time we got there.

Spotted Deliveroo chap cycling someone’s Ne’erday breakfast up the WoL path to Balerno 10.30am this very morning.

New bollards replacing the rocks at Neddie’s favourite Juni green splash bathroom warehouse redevdelopment

I saw that Deliveroo guy on the weird elliptical "bike" on Hanover Street last week. He didn't lock it when he went in to get an order, but I'm guessing anyone stealing it would have to work out how to make it go first...

Spotted gembo's Christmas wreath at the end of last year after coming off the Long Dalmahoy moonscape and discovering the Curriehill Level Crossing is closed.

@acsimpson, good to know the crossing is shut. Any explanation?

Emma Nibbles wreath we had last year proved too expensive this year. But my good pal Tom’s lovely wife Gail runs the florist in Juni Green and they copied the Emma Nibbles (that might not be the persons name) one. Cut limes and lavender smells. You should have popped in for a coffee.

I spotted a car trying to squeeze between an electric cargo bike on its outside and a pushbike on its inside at Holy Corner en route to that newish sofa shop in the old Napier Photography Dept in Marchmont this a.m. Mrs Garto will spend years in that place now researching the new sofa. Too many variables. Like Toppings bookshop this sofa shop provides free coffee

The sign on the crossing said it was due to flood damage. Despite no obvious signs of damage it is well fenced off so no chance of making a crossing. More annoyingly there is no warning at the end of the road so I was down the hill before discovering I had to go the long way.

I ended the ride almost bang on 100Km though so no hard feelings remain towards Network Rail.

Now that I know the details I'll probably still choose not to sniff your front door in passing. But might knock if I have the time.

Male cyclist heading into the Lothian Bus Longstone depot at 6.30 this morning. Likely a bus driver (or another staff member of the depot).

@bill Not so many out on bikes today... imagine out of town could be pretty brutal. For 'gritty' riders only!

Meanwhile in town I spotted grafitti ' Debate Evolution" and 'Debate Evolu' (ran out of space) on University Quartermile hoardings.
Went into Bank of Scotland and spotted giant 'marine sized' yellow chains around Scotia cashline bases to stop ramraiders on Lawnmarket. Sign 'o the Times?

It's mostly coming over in waves. Dry and bright and breezy at the time of writing, but gales and horizontal rain just earlier. A good day to tailwind it into town and, er, get the bus home again.

Was overtaken in the Cowgate this morning by cyclist hammering it to the next set of traffic lights. Was dark. He had no lights.

    There's one here too.

I used the cycle-path-on-the-island for the first time fairly recently. The Cameron Toll-RIE consultation inspired provoked me into using the wee dead end parallel spur of Lady Road, and then it just made sense to continue onto the island. Used it in the other direction a few days later, too.

Police car and tow truck on a street notorious for pavement parking. Excitement swiftly dissipated when I realised they were actually there to remove a van which had been left in the park along the street, possibly having been stolen and joyridden.
