@bax, the kit is yellow and black so you ain’t wrong. The most recent design has a sort of enlarged detail of the lion of Flanders. Ankles with hooks and fleckles, same for claws.

We were coming through Dalkeith about noon when the Dalkeith Rangers Supporters were coming out the lodge to catch bus through to glasgow for the Old Firm game. Straggler Hun gave me some feedback on the design (not mine) he said - looks like w@^k stain

The house I always say belongs to Ned Boulting’s parents out the Dog Trust Road just south of West Calder, has put a doocot in the garden. White doves just now but there will be miscegenation.

I know Norris Edward Boulting senior does live out that road. (My pal’s sister trained as blacksmith with Ned junior’s sister). I am thinking now might be another house as this one now also has pond, wagon wheels, Rooster perches too. Plus renovation to the curious outhouses (massive Nissan hut with brick front) so think maybe a builder doing some DIY. Boultings senior will be a little elderly to be taking on all of these tasks.

We will never know unless I pay the money to find out their actual post code.

One Norris BOulting Senior, There’s only one Norris Boulting Senior

Morningsider on Morningside Road a little earlier this evening as I was descending at speed, although that didn't stop the driver of a DPD van from overtaking me.

THe farmer Paul Osborn of Harperig Has now written to us on the back of the placards that say how many bags he has collected.

He has drawn a cyclist and written We Need You

I have issued the Clarion call to the Fietsclub Balerno

Nice to see a friendly face Gembo. I was having a real issue with my left cleat yesterday. It won't tighten up and the clear spring seems quite loose. I was using sock type shoe covers that potentially were interfering but it was pretty frustrating. Think I'm going to get some new pedals as these ones have done a lot of work. They were second hand to start with so feel they've had a good run!

Lots of cyclists out on Saturday, including a cheerful couple on a tandem.

Saturday there were lots of couples on hybrids and mountain bikes exploring urban trails. This can only be a good thing.

Polis in van came by me this morning then turned at Leyden Hill and came back down on the other side of road. I gave them a wave and they waved back. (This is the spot I will be litter picking at on Sunday)

If they had been three minutes earlier they might have clocked the chap on the motorbike who came past me having achieved the ton (100mph) Same lad as yesterday when he was a bit slower as other vehicles around.

    1) Street drinker dude squaring up to a Waitrose delivery van on the Bridges with the war-cry 'I AM THE BOY!'.

    2) The ligger known as 'Gandalf' staring wistfully at wine in a shop window on Ratcliffe Terrace.

    3) Dude with a plywood and cable ties pannier rack. Not sure he owns a saw or a drill. Looked to have been chewed.

Yeah. He was grizzled and weather-beaten in 1990, trying to pass as a father-figure to nubile trapeze wannabes.

Go back 110 pages or two years and you get photo of yer gandalf in his beret looking old and gazing wistfully at posters. No wine, maybe needs specs which will be pince nez.
