@gembo I image you were singing this along the way?

@bill I do like the specials, the fun boy3 and Jerry Dammers all

Mostly Ella or hank these days as I cycle, occasional Methodist Hymn (Wesleyan hymns are the best). Some Nick Cave (Into My Arms) and Louvin Bro’s Satan’s Jewel Crown

Beautiful Roe Deer just at the Colzium farm this a.m. was out checking parking for walk tonight with my pal Tam and his dugs I imagine. I wrote a poem for him called My Pal Tam

Passed two blokes on Just Eat bikes cycling up the hill Edinburgh-bound out of LINLITHGOW this morning. Fair play!

@edinburgh 87 the slightly less steep one over the canal and skirting the station? Still usually end up in lowest gear on that one.

The first one, where it kicks up just after the rabt - they didn't turn off to the station though, they continued back towards Edi (as did I). Maybe trained it out of course. Car behind us, plus social distancing, meant I couldn't pull alongside to chat :(

@edinburgh87, apart from canal (they maybe came out it?) and headi g straight east that is the route when we are gubbed but it is still hard work until you get onto the actual ridge. Respeck.

Group of about a dozen guys heading along St John’s Road on a mixture of bikes, in everyday clothes, no helmets, taking up the whole inside lane and chatting away to each other.

Excellent - more of this sort of thing please.

@Stickman - to repeat a question from a mutual friend: when did you become radicalised?

    @IWRATS beat me to it.

I think I spotted chrisfl near Holy Corner last night after looking up from scanning the upcoming potholes and recognising the cyclist who I'd previously nodded politely at when we approaching far more distantly.

Three hundred and thirty miles north, in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh, is Hart’s Cyclery. Too far to pedal from London, even for a newly super-fit cyclist

I think there's a few members of this collective who'd like a word on this point.

@steveo, indeed. Too far for one day perhaps.

Fimm, in the corner of a zoom yoga thing. Turns out I've got psoas and they've got me.

Interesting... guilty to the Zoom yoga, which was most excellent.

Parking attendant slowly strolling down a line of illegally parked vehicles giving each one a ticket. Very satisfying to watch.

Actual tickets? Or pieces of paper saying "Please don't park here"?

Actual tickets! A golf that’s been parked nearby me for ages with multiple ‘warnings’ also got one which truly brightened my morning.

A rather shaggy @Morningsider stravaiging with his bairns in Greenbank.

Later, Sir Malcolm Rifkind at the controls of a sky blue Rolls-Royce in Colinton village.

Colinton probably less than 5 miles from Sheep Heid so nothing to see here, move along now

fimm on a fancy bike near the Gowkley Moss roundabout. I think it was also the first time I've seen fimm not riding a Brompton.

I was heading home after an earlier whirl along the A766/A702, going the long way round for a picnic nearby, which was why the torpedo was full of stuff including my dinner, camping chair, a book to read, my big DSLR and extra clothes.

Probably - the Brompton is for transport, the "fancy bike" (it isn't that fancy) is for going a long way for exercise/pleasure. I wondered if you would recognise me, in fact. The Brompton has been out about half a dozen times since lockdown...

    Now I know why I need a torpedo... ;-)

I was seconds away from a @fimm spot in the middle of nowhere yesterday, according to Strava.

Spotted a young teenage girl in jeans and a fashion top riding her mountain bike up the bridle path on Braid Hill. Looked like the first attempt. Let's hope it's the first of many.

Quick chat with HankChief/mini-Chief at Pinkhill. They were returning from Roseburn, we were on the way there.

Sat in the sun in Roseburn Park for a while. Frankly ridiculous number of people out on bikes, of all ages, and many from minority groups. Definitely not the “usual” cycling people. Loads on hire bikes.

More of this sort of thing please.
