As if 2020 couldn't get any weirder, I'm sure I just saw a tweet from @IWRATS talking about zwift.

@acsimpson that seems unlikely but as you say a very weird year

The Castle Esplanade seems to have become a full on car park.

Zwift? Swifts maybe. Only 187 days until we know if they have the courage to return.

@IWRATS, there's a thread for that sort of chat.

Now that I look at twitter again ...

Explore endless worlds as a swift? It's like cycling imagined by Howard Blake

Pretty sure that was @jdanielp waiting to cross Nicolson St on a mountain bike this afternoon. Wasn't quite sure enough to wave, though.

@Frenchy it was! Sorry, I would have waved had I spotted you.

I was doubly incognito as a mask-wearing pedestrian, so you're doubly forgiven.

Saw an older gentleman (well white beard) on a recumbent tanking along Eastwards at Seton Sands during my Government allocated physical exercise hour

Could have been me on a blue fairly low recumbent hurrying to an excellent fish supper from the mobile chippy on Longnniddry Bents no 3
En route to North Berwick conscious of some illegality involved in crossing the frontier between mid and East Lothian
Only 72 so enough of the elderly gent crap - we are the new 50 year olds?

    It deserves to!
Good fresh fish in great batter and crispy chips but not cheap
Seagulls seem to be fans as well

Have confirmed the recumbent is blue and sans flag. Chapeau!

I'd have been a stereotypical Rapha-wearing road bike in stealth black and 50mm rims not quite so tanking along into the headwind going the other way. Will have to try out the fish and chips next time Im out that way.

Chap looking at me askance as I had become over excited about a prancing deer In the field across from his house, Glenmoramgie Road.

Ian Hamilton Finlay’s gravestone on the ancient Kirk and graveyard at Abercorn earlier. Little daises carved into the granite. Also has a museum with big bits of a Celtic Cross. Think Roseberry keeps it open in case Queen is round. Lot of skull and crossbones gravestones too. (Knights Templar????)

Forest path down to Blackness pretty. Alas lobster pot cafe not open until 10. It was 9.30a,m

Limmy's Show is on BBC Scotland and hence is appearing on iPlayer just now (but the first episode expires tonight). I'm taking the opportunity to catch up with all of the sketches I haven't seen previously on YouTube etc. and in the context that they were originally intended. Good stuff.

@gembo your concern is appreciated. I did mainline the first four episodes, but I'm now rehabilitating on a drip-feed diet as the remainder filter onto the iPlayer, so it's not quite as bad a situation as that of Jacqueline McCafferty or Dee Dee. I'm hoping that they repeat all three series.

@jdanielp I had managed to suppress my memories of Jacqueline McCafferty phoning the taxi company but all good things come to an end.

Slight extension of my knowledge of the avenues and alleyways (name that seventies cop show theme tune).

Just before broxburn at the Avon viaduct I have often spotted Birdmill Road. Turns out lovely quiet way to bypass broxburn and links to a road I already knew from the other direction that leads into the back and lesser used entrance to almondell country park.

Avon viaduct, cuh mon Stubbsy where is t(e correction ? Is it the almond viaduct I mean.

Almondell countr6 Park was incredibl6 hoaching yesterday at the busier end in East Calder. Even a little Citroen van pop up coffee shop with proverbial long queue. What is the world coming to.
