@gembo - Chris is on every night on STV station ID. These originally done for the STV2 channel.
He's servicing a Croix de Fer I think.

    Today's spot.

@Dave and family on a Term GSD heading up Lanark Road. I was heading back into town from Tarbrax and beyond on recliner.
    Didn't go to AP .

@laidback, I glanced out the window and saw you smashing through the lights at Balerno. I had been out to Circus Farm beyond Harperig earlier was a chilly Easterly breeze on road home very different from summery day yesterday.Seemed slightly higher than your usual bent?

Unforgotten is the show I am watching on STV but think I have guessed it. Sheila Hancock is a right cow in that. Did not guess the twist on Bloodlands though on Sunday

“Did not guess the twist on Bloodlands though on Sunday“

    Which twist?

    NO don’t tell me.

I lost interest half way through.

Too slow, plus various amounts of ‘not credible’.

Not as bad as many ‘crime dramas’, but even so.

@chdot, the script is actually quite clever but it is slow and the acting apart from the grandad from Derry girls is poor. The twist though is good.

@Gembo spotted on the balerno moans. Brave defender of the Orca, branded a pavement cyclist and typical Spokes member.

@moose, I thought I stayed calm. In another thread we tried to work out what hardware store in gorgie Dalry as one has a car park, the other has double red lines already and third sells bongs and brasso. We thought given how rabid the chap was it was maybe the latter.

I did see a lot of other people taking the Mickey out of the chap.

He was not a very coherent person

The mum from down your way despite me being nice did not seem to understand that Donke6 Lane is a sort of riverbed in the middle of the country and therefore not applicable for SFP funds. She also tried to deflect onto helmet debate. I thought she was a bit more crafty than the brasso bongs guy.

They were green of course! Out of town bike is generally higher twin 700c M5 CHR. @nobrakes and @jss have ones too although with different equipment. Dutch design by Bram Moens.

Run out west - M5 CHR

@Algo on an electric Babboe at the end of the Meadows this mornings.

Turns out it wasn't you, but you probably knew that. Still had a nice chat with pseudo-Algo nonetheless.

@Gembo. Yes the same mum that declares the roads unfit and cyclist should use the WOL. She is also the path stealer at Splash bathrooms.

I think I know who the not @algo was.

The other half came in and said "someone just asked if was [algo's real name]"

I wasn't sure how to post this non spot so was glad you got there first @dessert_rat

Although, we have a bakfiet not a babboe.

Maybe there are two non algos out there...

@Iratesheep - yes, knew it wasn't a babboe, but couldn't remember what it was.

There is also a non-Gembo who I spoke to on George St a while ago. It takes a degree of confidence, which I do not possess to wear a pink rapha gillett.

@dessert_rat it wasn't meant as a slight btw, it was just in case there were two non spots out there.

The Taller half has informed me you were saying you had thought about a cargo bike - YOU SHOULD GET ONE!

You can have a proper go on ours if you'd like to try it out btw, I'm @iratesheep on twitter too. (In fact, anyone can DM me to have a go on the e-bike, go for it)

(We also live in non-ground floor flat, no garden. The more of us there are the better!)

@dessert rat did this non Gembo in pink get it in the sale? (I have had it on a lot in recent murk - indeed today going up red road I was ringing my bell at a couple of walkers, they were not reacting so I said On your right, this shocked them but one of them did day she thought in retrospect she had heard it. Anyway was near the shoulder so I said you will see me coming back down shortly and the chap replied, Yes we will have no problem seeing you)

@moose good intel on Danni Minogue

Spotted yellow covered three wheeled electric micro car on Lothian Road. Looked like 'a product' - moving along at 25kmph - very new and had an L plate on it.
Not sure exactly what it was - enclosed tuk tuk? Mobility scooter for road use? Micro mobility vehicle?

Forgot to mention this earlier. Few days ago spotted a female hand tricyclist on the footway on Montrose Terrace, heading uphill towards Regent Road. Accompanied by a friend on foot. My impression was they were a novice trying it out, or maybe an experienced user testing a new fangled trike.

    @crowriver et al

    Talking of trikes...

Future spot warning! C5 has been spotted before in town but Mr Rockett now has 4 and will do tours. Have done guided tours myself and can confirm there is no money in it unless it leads to buying a bike/trike. Fun though and meet a wide range of people not always bike obsessed either (!)

I've seen him round Leith quite a bit over the lockdowns. Not an exemplar of consideration.

Driving to tesco to pick up the weekly shop and came across the spaces for people on Corstorphine High Street, very ambitious but unless it's backed up by kerbs it's going to be ignored.

A large group of young people/youths on bikes going along the lower part of Queen's Drive, occupying the whole carriageway and pulling the occasional wheelie. It was awesome. All the dangerous road users had to slow down.

Went for Organic Earlies (Casablanca) Organic Second Earlies NIicola Maincrop Red King Edwards and Late Maincrop Golden Wonders

In my most bizarre encounter of 2021 so far I talked at length to Tory Cllr Graeme Bruce who I know used to be a very keen cyclist and a more recent convert to cycling Cllr Susan Webber. I asked if I could take her photo on her bicycle, and put it on social media - she was keen but i was joking a very nice Purple Specialized (she told me she used to have a purple helmet - True fact). She then proudly showed me her face mask which is an official cycling uk mask with lots of wee bike motifs and said Cllr Macinnes has one covered in wee cars. I asked why she didnt understand the bollards and she said if only they would put in proper infra.

    Told you it was bizarre
