Someone, possibly Anth (?) fixing a bike (turned upside down) on Leith Links around 4pm this afternoon. I'm not sure because I didn't slow down/stop to get a better look, but I think it was the same model of bike which he rides (edit-Kaffenback?). I was passing on the wee Raleigh folder with trailer in tow.

This must be Dawes contender in the retro scene. Spotted on Victoria St - owner was in tweed shop behind....

Spotted the ever-cheerful Min, heading out of town along the canal towpath earlier this evening.

"ever-cheerful Min"
Hahahaha! Oh wait, that is making me sound cheerful..

@crowriver
Not me, I've been fortunately maintenance free for, ooh, at least a week now.
Which has put the kiss of death on it - better make sure the allen keys are in the bag tomorrow morning...

You've set yourself up for a mechanical that will take more than Allen keys to remedy

SRD family bikeless on Bruntsfield path.
Saw another cycling mum towing a trailer behind a bike with childseat. She had a small kids bike hung sideways on the back like a camper van.... James Gillespie parent?

Lovely baby blue Flying Scot with carradice bag being ridden along west shore road today. Older gent with classic cycling cap on.

'Racer' with yellow bar tape and yellow tyres, leaned up against Starbucks, Holy Corner.
And LB, in a reverse spot. Actually, we saw him first!

Either Min, or a Min-Doppelgänger. I was sat outside PY (running early, had a notion for coffee and cake - I love cycling) and noticed a jogger heading into the distance UP MMW. So unless she was heading home after an all-nighter I'm going to say doppelgänger.

Eek. I have a doppleganger that is trying to make me feel guilty since I was supposed to be running today but couldn't get out of bed. I have deferred till tomorrow instead.

By that denial, I think it is conclusive proof that it was Min slinking home from an all-nighter

She had a Min-style buff and everything! Someone is setting out to steal your identity.
At least it doesn't now look like I was ignoring you though! (I was trying not to look suspicious with a big camera and lots of schoolkids filing by, trying to snatch photos of cyclists in gaps between the traffic, by resting my camera in plain view and having great difficulty in spreading the rock hard butter on the crumbly spelt scone).

Maybe I'm just so stylish that the look is catching on? ;-)

Shut up you!

50/50 spot with Kaputnik. Think he was first though as I was heading downhill onto MMW when I was aware of cyclist heading head on. Of course he was just seeing if I was awake....
Guy on tour today had done the Race Across America (RAAM?) as part of a four man military team. Had spinal op since so really loved LB riding and had great sense of balance.

In this case, two wrongs make a right. ;-)

Cycled out East Lothian direction around lunchtime today. Not sure if I saw anyone from this community as don't know what anyone looks like, but I did see a few cyclists out. Caught up with one guy towards the end of my outbound jaunt and he was heading for Dunbar. A few roadies passed me (heading towards Musselbrugh)when I'd stopped to take a wee photo at Seton Sands. I was riding my Kinesis today and was bearing a rucksack with a high-vis cover.

last night (Fri 2nd Sept) a cream coloured mini-clubman overtook me with one flat bar bike on its roof rack, wheels to the roof. At Gillespie's X-roads, about 5.45pm

Spotted the ЯДКІЄТД 3 again, parked outside the old GPO yesterday. Not really a new spot, though.

Portobello Promenade, noon today. Chap with spectacles (also wearing a helmet) riding a Planet-X framed bike (Kaffenback I think judging by the colour), headed East. Glanced back at me, we gave each other that "Do I know you?" searching look. Anybody on here? (I don't think it was Anth).
I had the tagalong with me, eating a sandwich whilst waiting for eldest child to finish music school nearby.

@SRD Reports of a zigo in North Berwick.
I know a couple that own one. They live in Portobello. Maybe it was them?

ruggtomcat, recumberating up the pre-tunnel slope along the Innocent.

Loads and loads of bikes parked at Cramond, no sign of owners. Tide was down so perhaps they were out on the island.
In South Queensferry an extended family group was trying to get down the high street (not easy with the herds of cars trying to force their way in either direction). Their rides included 3 tandems and a triplet! Two of the tandems were yellow Orbits and the triplet was a Thorn.
On back of a car heading up North Bridge was an old Peugeot time-trial tandem.

K'nik - sounds like maybe you saw today's tandem club ride? (first sunday of the month)
