saw a woman(i think,my distance vision is not so good without glasses) on a trike heading in to Argyle place today
wearing a bright yellow jacket around 3pm

If it's a high up traditional one then she drops into The Bike Works for trike servicing.... she can't walk so far and uses trike to shop. DeBlissi or Pashley

If it's lower then that's an LB one from ICE.

I'm now regularly spotting a red Thorn kiddyback tandem, usually southbound on Craigmillar Park, then Liberton Road, for the school run.

Mum and two kids, second in a child seat, although today it was Dad.

    Anyone here?

Two spots this evening - Andy@Storybikes again on the Royal Mile, and Dave-in-a-skirt - looking particularly smart!

To be fair, Dave spotted me, as I was doing my best Copenhagenize attempt, juggling coffee and bike simultaneously.

Granted, this was only an attempt to walk the laden bike with one hand, whilst drinking a coffee with the other... The failure to ride, and the excess of Scotchlite probably spoilt the whole Euro-cyclist theme!

Nazca bent with trailer parked up outside Tiso in Rose Street.

Also spotted it (and stilt-walking owner - although technically he spotted me trying to weave my way slowly through the Rose Street traffic of shoppers and Saturday afternoon drunks), in fact parked myself right next to it. While I was locking up, someone took a photo of it. I explained that it was a wizard mobile.

Next to it was a quite cool Thorn trekking bike, built like a tank, dynamo front hub, Rohloff on the back. Very strong and substantial porteur style racks front a rear. Got a photo that I'll fish off my phone later

I see there's a Carry Freedom Y-frame trailer there too. (Small?)

Don't think much of the locking technique there. They could easily be left with just the front wheel!

Spotted in the work bike shed, Dundee, a trio of sort of interesting bikes. Well, more interesting than what is normally there, anyway! This was on Thursday last, when we had a nice sunny day and not too cold...

I was going to poo-poo and write off the fixed as "the one out of Urban Outfitter" but on closer inspection it appears to be a restored old, lugged steel frame, with plenty brazeons for guards and racks and horizontal dropouts rather than track ends. It doesn't strike me as the most practical city bike with no guards and white tyres, but each to their own! It's a handsome shade of blue and the orange sets it off nicely.

Black plastic lockholder slung under the top tube kinda ruins the look though!

Unlocked MTB beside mine in the racks at work. Plodded back to Reception and asked the chap to ask the Facilities people to track the owner down.

I hope they didn't just do a mass email and thus alert every tealeaf in the building...

I don't lock my bike at work. But it is in a secure underground car park with controlled access in a high security building and covered by CCTV... 15 seconds saved in my day.

I do get well meaning people turning my light off though. they must assume that the glow it emits from the standlight for 5 minutes after i park up is my "batteries" running down.

I am 98% sure the bad habit I'd pick up from that would have me leaving it unlocked all over the place.

    Focus 'Wasgo'? Nexus hub tourer/hybrid

Another interesting bike in the work bike sheds, Dundee. Methinks the kind of bikes I find interesting seem to come out in winter...

Oh, that reminds me. Waved into the window of Laid Back Bikes yesterday evening as I rode past at ~6.15 on my way to Bike Works, but couldn't see if anyone was looking.

I saw you wave but didn't recognise you! I was chatting to David about bikes and my spikey tyred machine was sitting outside the shop.

Edit: Double post by mistake or a fleeting rupture in the space-time continuum resulting in time travel nine minutes into the past.
