Been a while since we had a Nelly/Uberuce spot, hasn't it?

Possibly Spytfyre along Henderson Row but I wouldn't want to give the impression of saying it was definitely him when it might not have been.

Hey Bruce, sorry I didnt spot you, were you incognito?!

Did see a rather nice charge single speed in light brown with bullhorn bars going along slateford tonight - nice chap with ginger hair, we said hello.

I was cunningly disguised as a second floor flat which was behind you, so yep, you'd really have to had your sharp eyes on to see me.

I was probably puffing a bit - feeling a bit knackered this week and having one of those 'is one gear enough' days.

Still not spotted that fixie at the shops yet.

Mr red minibus clearly has a problem with cylists. I need to find out what the sticker in his back window says - he appears to carry disabled passengers, and I'm sure I saw something about Tollcross Primary once, but he turned the 'wrong' way onto Lothian Road this morning, I had thought to avoid wingpig after they'd had an altercation, but sounds like he was safely observed this morning.

Surely not the same minibus driver ferrying disabled children who was in the chipwrapper grumbling about being caught in the bus lane every day and receiving hundreds of pounds worth of fixed penalty charge notices?

Can't help but think there's a link between risk taking illegal undertaking in bus lanes and punishment passing of cyclists. Venting his frustration at having been subject to penalty charges perhaps?

Roibeard and family featured with a nice photograph in the CEC Outlook newspaper. I'm looking for our copy so I could post up the pic...

I unexpectedly found myself stuffing my wet trainers with Roibeard which was a very guilty moment when I spied his wee smiley face! Sorry about that. I did extract and read the damp article though which was a nice one. :-)

    @Min - LOL

I'm delighted that I could be of service and at least I can say I've been put in your shoes, should I ever need to speak on your behalf...

    ;-)

There is an electronic copy if you don't wish to squint.

I presume this isn't particularly new (?) but it's a fairly striking example of the best of Edinburgh's cycle infrastructure.

If this is 'good enough' not much chance of any 'segregated' provision.

It's been there since at least May 2010. Fortunately, most mornings there are usually sufficient taxis parked in the same lane as it passes the Scotsman for even novice cyclists to be riding well clear of the lane by the time it gives up just before the Moray House Pinch Point.

Wingpig in Bike Station, scant minutes after the epic downpour.

We were both on the scrounge in the mudguard department, happily not in competition with each other. New-old mudguards will be an improvement when I obtain the eyebolts for them.

Apart from Bruce (above), Dave was just heaving to outside TBW slightly earlier on.

What do you need? I have all manner of mudguard spare parts lying around.

Four of whatever you need to fix stays to a Vavert front mudguard. (the stay-frame part I've bodged acceptably already)

I'll check. Pretty sure I do but I'm comfortably dry and on the sofa right now and the garage is 150ft away.
