Red racing/touring tandem going at a fair lick westward along London Road, five minutes ago. Pilot/co-pilot decked out in hi-viz waistcoats and helmet covers (eh?).

Ahh, would you believe that our very own @Uberuce was out flyering? And for free! Not so popular now mr friendly-giant huh?
Posted 12 years ago # -
Uberuce again in almost the same place as Monday, except this time he didn't see me as he was climbing the kerb-that-should-be-a-drop-kerb to get into Harrison Park.

Mmmmm....been meaning to chase this again. ....

"been meaning to chase this again"
And you shouldn't have to!
Especially with the councillors who represent the area having bumped down that kerb on the way to the bike breakfast!

kaputnik, crossing Leamington Lift Bridge, as I snapped canal cyclists.

Leamongton Life Bridge?
Like it.
Who's for some guerilla altering of the letters painted on the side?
Posted 12 years ago # -
I was clearly amending that as you were replying :P

@ruggtomcat - it was a favour for a recent acquaintence, with whom I am moderately infatuated, so I blame...well, I still blame me, but she's awfy bonny and clever.

Strida going down LW and up MMW. Piloted by a colleague. Will see if i can convince him to join your folder meet-up, if you ever decide a date/time :)

SRD and mini-SRD in Harrison Park as I was on my way to the book festival, and JacksonPriest taking his family to said event, as I was on my way back.

Not the trickiest quiz of the week, but can you guess the identity of the owner of this magnificent bent tandem? Excellent take off skills uphill from TBW to his showroom for the photo op, by the way !!Posted 12 years ago # -
That's a magnificent device!
In other news: what size is your Day One? I'm struggling to comprehend what size fits my orang-utang limb/torso shape and I've got my eyes on building something out of either an Equilibrium or Croix de Fer frame.
My 54cm flatbar fits me like a prophylactic, although normal man Roibeard of roughly equal height(I think? 5'10" here, anyway) found it cramped. Conversely, I was comfy on the steeds belonging to Instography and Anth, both of the 6'3" ilk, without seatpost fettling.

Mine is a 56, but I have the stem upside down for a more relaxed fit, and the saddle a fair bit up - you can have a shot if I can make the next PY (zazou?), or if I see you on way home?
My road bike is a 58 (spesh) but I tried the 58 Day01 and it was massive, felt I was stretching for the bars - prob as it is a cross bike and the geometry is different.

Steveo way out on the Lang Whang. This time called you Stevie so getting closer. Did you spot the tenacious chap on the full suss MTB with sticky tyres. He came back at me a couple of times before I left him with the suggestsion he should get a road bike and he would leave me for dead.

I should have put up a pic of Nelly's nicely yellow Genesis Day One...!
Was a nice day on the paths with quite a few families and new to cycling groups (or so it looked).Posted 12 years ago # -
So someone has spotted me :
http://edinburghcyclechic.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/jeans-rolled-up/Guess which chap I am.
I did have my jeans rolled up though...Posted 12 years ago # -
Guess which chap I am.
Hiking boots in toe clips and a rucksac? There's a rear carrier on that bike, surely bungeeing the backpack to the top was more comfy?

I was out on the A70 yesterday as well, down to Carnworth and round. On the return route about 10:30am we also saw a MTB and he was keeping up with us a fair bit of the way.
I wonder if it was the same chap who cut across as I saw him appear from one of the paths that cross the hills.
Two of us were out yesterday on red Allezs

@crowriver - wrong. guess again..... No carrier on my bike.
I fear this game just became much easier.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Well, yes, except you haven't spotted me... :-)
Some other folk have lately, but otherwise I must be one of the more unspotted members of CCE. Probably because I am only rarely in the vicinity of the Meadows/Innocent path/West End.

@bruce
Sounds about right. I was taking a short stop near where the auchengray road joins the A70 just before 11am and when I started back I spotted him behind me. MTB more suited to the auchengray road as up and down and side to side.

@crowriver, I spotted you for a good 8 hours on the ToEL and I saw you again on the Riobardy (spelling?) ride and again in Saturday!
Posted 12 years ago # -
What is this Riobardy ride of which you speak?
But yes, the more audaxes I do the more I'll be spotted by audaxers... :-)

Min for the first time in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages heading from North Bridge to South Bridge as I toiled up the High Street towards the crossroads.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Lionfish in a small convoy of cyclists turning right out of Gilmore Place infront of Kings theatre.
Posted 12 years ago # -
Ah, I didn't even bother glancing down the High Street this morning as I thought I was late.
Dave and his trailer going up Broughton Street.

"Ah, I didn't even bother glancing down the High Street this morning as I thought I was late."
You were. As was I at that point.

Dave and his trailer going up Broughton Street.
One of these days it would be awesome to spot "Dave going up Broughton Street in his trailer"
