CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Incognito is impossible with those triple leds
I wonder if I should finish my single chrome one and get a pashley to go with it...
I think.......Arrelcat and then Dave? Near Laidback Bikes this evening. I was imbibing a Deuchars outside Earl of Marchmont after a lovely ride home.
Tom at the top of Morrison Street exiting the passage beside the new part of the EICC. I was in disguise as a pedestrian no blinky lights to identify me!
Bloke wearing a bandanna around his head on a two-sizes-of-wheel recumbulacer going north along Constitution Street this morning. Didn't look familiar.
Nelly, that was certainly Dave and me. I was just popping in to LBB to fuss over Max. :) Dave was sporting a splendid skulls-and-crossbones Buff.
Arellcat - i might spell your name properly next time too ;-)
Possibly huskygirl, formerly of this parish, possibly not.
Anyway, on the towpath today a two-wheel scooter with 20" (?) wheels, towed at considerable speed by a husky.
Dave, recumbing up past the sculpture centre.
Our benevolent admin turning on to Princes Street from Sth Charlotte St, on a "Normal" bike...
All bike are normal - apart from those lying down ones...
Insto, Porty High Street.
Failed to spot wingpig cos I was either head down into the wind or hiding behind Joe out of the wind.

If this was morning peak, then it's almost certainly me, as I rode a mixed-wheel recumbent to work a few days last week while bearing a black buff?
I think someone else may have become aware of your invisibilty cloak, Dave. A couple outside LBB yesterday asked me about my unusual bike, and the man proceeded to tell me all about this very very low bike, much lower than mine, that he'd seen in town. It was so low that he didn't see it from his car! And then he told me all about the bus that nearly crushed the rider while turning right, clearly the bicycle was very dangerous and...etc., etc.
I sort of smiled politely and tried not to get sucked into one of those circular 'vehicular cycling' arguments.
That must be LaidBack, I'm sure. I even repainted my bike dark green to reduce visibility, what more's a man to do?
Someone Arellcat-like, whizzing round the Torphichen Street-Dewar Place corner.
Whizzing is right! I was piling on the coals to try to get a run up the hill, assuming, on the basis of repeated recent experience and correctly as it turned out, that I'd have a green at the top to swing left for Morrison St.
Afraid I didn't spot you, wingpig, in my Stravesque efforts.
Now that is elegance. Hoof of approval.
Maroon recumbenteer on West beach st andrews today watching the planes. Was driving, so couldnt get a piccy.
@chdot, is that Clive dunn's shopping trolley in waitrose? He has ortliebs like tht. So do I but dirtier
Good quality red MTB heading out Slateford and up past Craiglockhart just after 7 this morning, mate, if you're reading this you really need to get out of the gutter, some idiot will knock you off if you keep riding there :-(
Driving yesterday along Melville drive @7:30- Saw a blue upright tricycle, being ridden by a woman who clearly had children, there were two rear facing kids seats on the back of the trike. Seats were empty so I sincerely hope she'd already dropped off/was going to collect said Kinder. Looked like a solid bike for "child-wrangling" though
Interesting. THere's one of those parks at my work, but it's dark maroon in colour.
Quite possible - tis but from a fleeting glimpse I spotted it.
I'll take a picture at lunchtime :)
Very bright light heading down MMW. Was attached to semi-low bike... Ruggtomcat heading across Jawbone with trailer. I was tidying up after Max on foot.
Spotted this home-made Xtracycle (with foot-rests for rear passengers) outside the old Dick Vet (rebranded "The Summerhall" now) during the festivus, but the photo has been lurking on my phone since then.
I hope they have confidence in their welding skills!
I think I recognise that from POP.
