Did anyone else here take part in yesterday's Miners' Megacycle from Penicuik to Prestongrange? I was glad of the free t-shirt but shorts were a mistake in the cold easterly head-wind. Only one of my junior domestic peloton joined me and she was "wearing everything but the flask" as they say in hillwalking circles. Still it was a great ride with lots of friendly marshalls and support from Sestran and Spokes among others.

Wasn't there but it sounds cool. I was out enjoying the wind though. At one point I did think that, despite my sunglasses, my eyeballs might get pushed through to the back of my skull. Bit disconcerting.
