The prom has had quite a battering in last few months.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I presume that photo is today.
So they haven't cleared up yet.
Is it supposed to be 'off limits' still?
Was taken today. Think it has sign at the dump / barrier end. We just came down as Irene was worried about us hitting something.
Saw a few bikes go through. In fact we took two trikes through last week - just enough space.
looks like it could be a fun slalom course
It's tons of fun to ride around, but there are some seriously big holes to fall down. Wouldn't try it in the dark :). In the cooncil's defence, they have swept of the majority of the tyre slicing debris that was strewn all the way along to the silverknowes tea shop, so it's much improved. Will be a big job to put that jigsaw back together though!

Is it officially open?
AFAIK the main drag is open, the half completed bit has a path closed sign at the West Shore Road end, but I don't think there's a closure sign at the other end though. So probably not officially opened as far as liability is concerned.
As for the tea shop, no, they even removed the paint from the roof that said "tea shop open".

Yes the tea shop is open - soup and good value sandwiches too.
Ask owner for key to facilities if you need a 'comfort stop'.
is it really open? I must pass it at the wrang time of day!
The sea wall repairs have been started. The contractors equipment is stored at the Cramond end by the toilets. Watch your speed coming down the hill past the pub or you will end up in a temporary fence going round the corner.
