Once upon a time it had two railway stations.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Western Corner is not Corstorphine. It's on the Corstorphone Road - the Road that goes to Corstorphine, not the road that is in Corstorphine. You're only in Corstorphine once you're on the St John's Road.
Not that Corstorphine isn't ruined by the main road running through it full of lorries, buses and cars and a complete and utter lack of any shops or places you might want to mill around and spend a few hours.
Clearly those people have never seen a 'slum'.
And Trinity Belle has never been to a third world country: "The whole city is starting to look as if it belongs in a third world country..."
Is this the same Costorphine that was against the drive through Costa,as they wanted to support local businesses?
To be fair, I *have* travelled a little, and while we don't have mountains of trash in the streets and most of the children seem to have parents, I can otherwise confirm that the road surfaces in Edinburgh are worse than in at least some parts of the third world.
Third world drivers* are also much less angry than Edinburgh drivers, although I'm not convinced they're less likely to hit you as a result.
* the irony of this intentionally enormous generalisation is not lost on me...
Most developing countries don't have problems with tarmac freezing etc.

No. The Corstorphine to which you refer is actually in Corstorphine! The one in the article is not.
I am not a corstorphine fan, but this does fall into 'lazy journalist' category.
Reminds me of when tv journos down south try (and fail) to pronounce place names outside the M25.
Corstorphine's gone to the dogs ever since Francis Begbie held up the jewellers
I was in The Guildford Arms on monday and was reminded of the self same character - remember the 'pint glass casually chucked over the shoulder from the upstairs bar' scene?
Echoes of some of the 'characters' from my misspent teen years in dodgy Gilmerton pubs......
