Good.
But, I often wonder if recipients see that the email is via 'write-to-them'(?)
If so, is it regarded more as an 'organised campaign' and discounted in any way?
Certainly councillors (etc.) do pay attention to emails (etc. - does anyone post things these days??)

I have always used writetothem and have always had a reply direct from the individual

chdot: I wonder that - and even if it's worth writing a paper letter instead! I use write-to-them for emails just from myself, and I know a lot of other people who do too - so I'd hope they wouldn't assume it's from a campaign?

passing along a message from write-to-them:
Just to reassure those who have posted on that thread:
WriteToThem is not one of those sites that allows members of the public to essentially spam their representatives with indentikit letters. We don't think that is a useful method of getting a representative on board with a campaign, and so we actually ban indentikit letters from going through.
What we encourage people to do instead is to personalise standard letters - we believe that representatives are much more likely to pay attention if the letters that they receive on a topic are individualised and therefore show that the constituents truly care about this topic.
You can read more about how campaigns can use our site here: http://www.writetothem.com/about-campaigns
and more about why we don't like indentikit letters here:
http://www.writetothem.com/about-qa#formlettersTo the person who asked about how messages are sent to representatives: they are emailed to the representative with the 'From' line being the constituent's email address (so if the representative presses 'reply' the reply will go straight back to the constituent). There is a footer explaining to the representative that the letter has been sent via WriteToThem, but to all intents and purposes it looks like it has been sent directly by the constituent.
