"Ah well. Let's see if they can improve on last year's last place. "
Nah, I hope they come last for dropping you! :-p
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

In terms of 'spotting' I'll likely be there on the white Peacemaker fixed.
Min: "Nah, I hope they come last for dropping you! :-p "
Thanks Min.
I'll be there but will be on foot due to well-formed plans for heavy drinking.
The lineup for the foldey bikes is now online. I'll be there with my camera, and might even try to get the same spectating place as last year. I'll probably be on foot, so I'll wear something obvious.

Shoes?
Yes, shoes'll do it!

Good luck to all the forumers involved.
I reckon the race is won or lost on the uphill cobbles of Victoria Street. Hope it stays dry.
I won't be on a red Birdy after all. Just discovered a crack in the fork.
Not good.
I'll be there. I'm the fat bald bloke in black with the stickered up Giant Bowery. Probably have a red courier bag with me too (need to get some shopping on the way home).
I am due to meet some people from another forum on the corner of GM and Viccy St.
Well you might see me -
Good to see a few people tonight, including old(ish) faces racing (Min)
And new faces, erm, walking... (Stepdoh)
Selected other shots...
Bruce Croall came from Edinburgh (unlike last year) and is a 'graduate' of the Meadowbank Velodrome.
What would/will Edinburgh do without it?
The man with the knees, Karl Jermyn - who presented the prize, is the finance director of Marshall's Pasta (sponsor of the race). He was also in the folding bike race!
Well I made it in the end, luckily my journey down wasn't as bad as my journey up..
I didn't come last, yaay! It was really good fun and I'm sorry you didn't make it cb.
Was nice to meet up with folk for a bit after, including some I hadn't met yet.
"old(ish) faces"
Oi! :-P
That was cracking event again, but I reckon I have come way down in the field of 35 compared to my respectable (by my standards) 11th place last year, there were only 22 then I think. I had no one there taking pics for me so if anyone has got one I can have - (number 9 on my waistcoat) I'd appreciate a copy please. Ta.
Hi Gary,
I'm guessing that's you on the left. Sorry not the best photo but it's the only one I have with you in it.
Not sure, but I /think/ that's Lembit Opik:
Birdy's are best (except when they break)
Trackstand competition (guy at the front was really good)
@cb
Nice pix.
Mike the Birdy leads Bruce the Dahon
Peter in 'full flow'
Gary in correct folding tuck position
chdot in mysterious hi-viz moment
Nice to catch up afterwards with Min, Anth (presumably not at work), chdot, cyclingmollie and Laidback.
"Do you use Flickr?"
Only just; I'm a novice. Hope to use it more though.
Good to see you Laidback and to meet Min and Arellcat.
Here's Kristian House warming up on rollers.
Great thank you so much CB, super pics in all. The other Gary was damn fast, good on the track stand too.
Cheers
GC
Some great photos there everyone. So glad the rain stayed off. Look at all those foldy people tucked over their handlebars! I didn't even think of that. I'm sure it would have made all the difference hehe.
"

Hey you should see me walking on the flat...
Min Even Andrew at The Bike Works doesn't think that circuit is easy. So well done for getting out there and entering into the spirit of the race.
But... now you realise that there is no such thing as a 'fun' bike race ;-)
This was the same problem with the CityCycling Commuter Challenge which was meant to be a 'nice potter to work' and ended up with ex-Commonwealth Games riders, couriers and people on recumbent bikes (!).
cb Sorry you didn't get chance to take part.
hehe i (think) know the dude who won the roady race about one minute in.
