    Yes. Subject to Scotrail. :-/

"Ah well. Let's see if they can improve on last year's last place. "

Nah, I hope they come last for dropping you! :-p

  2. In terms of 'spotting' I'll likely be there on the white Peacemaker fixed.

I'll be there but will be on foot due to well-formed plans for heavy drinking.

The lineup for the foldey bikes is now online. I'll be there with my camera, and might even try to get the same spectating place as last year. I'll probably be on foot, so I'll wear something obvious.

Good luck to all the forumers involved.

I reckon the race is won or lost on the uphill cobbles of Victoria Street. Hope it stays dry.

I won't be on a red Birdy after all. Just discovered a crack in the fork.

    Not good.

I'll be there. I'm the fat bald bloke in black with the stickered up Giant Bowery. Probably have a red courier bag with me too (need to get some shopping on the way home).

  14. Good to see a few people tonight, including old(ish) faces racing (Min)

And new faces, erm, walking... (Stepdoh)

    The winner

Bruce Croall came from Edinburgh (unlike last year) and is a 'graduate' of the Meadowbank Velodrome.

What would/will Edinburgh do without it?

The man with the knees, Karl Jermyn - who presented the prize, is the finance director of Marshall's Pasta (sponsor of the race). He was also in the folding bike race!

Well I made it in the end, luckily my journey down wasn't as bad as my journey up..

I didn't come last, yaay! It was really good fun and I'm sorry you didn't make it cb.

Was nice to meet up with folk for a bit after, including some I hadn't met yet.

    "old(ish) faces"

    Oi! :-P

That was cracking event again, but I reckon I have come way down in the field of 35 compared to my respectable (by my standards) 11th place last year, there were only 22 then I think. I had no one there taking pics for me so if anyone has got one I can have - (number 9 on my waistcoat) I'd appreciate a copy please. Ta.

    Hi Gary,

I'm guessing that's you on the left. Sorry not the best photo but it's the only one I have with you in it.

Some great photos there everyone. So glad the rain stayed off. Look at all those foldy people tucked over their handlebars!  I didn't even think of that. I'm sure it would have made all  the difference hehe.

Min Even Andrew at The Bike Works doesn't think that circuit is easy. So well done for getting out there and entering into the spirit of the race.
But... now you realise that there is no such thing as a 'fun' bike race ;-)

This was the same problem with the CityCycling Commuter Challenge which was meant to be a 'nice potter to work' and ended up with ex-Commonwealth Games riders, couriers and people on recumbent bikes (!).

cb Sorry you didn't get chance to take part.
