It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

I went down last night, along with about 200 other people. What really struck me was the lack of aggro despite all the different abilities and ages using the park. Not once in 40 minutes of watching and shooting did I hear an anguished angry cry. And I loved seeing the effortlessly cool old dudes - blokes my sort of age who were clearly 80s skate dudes. Just brilliant.
Heh that guy on the bmx top 2 photos lives round the corner from me. Him and his mate keep knocking my door to borrow my track pump....they even call me "mister" he is pretty good at riding backwards down polwarth gdns!
He was pretty damned good at the skatepark as well - hey, if you see him again and happen to ask if he wants a wee trick/photo portfolio thing shot... :P
If these are the same kids that I've seen, they were heading down the middle of my road the other day, not looking where they were going until I was almost in the middle of them, when they saw me, and apologized very nicely and moved out of my way. Was definitely struck by how polite they were!
His name is Ellis Watson and I am sure he would be up for a photo session along with his buddy Alan Reid. Ellis and Alan have agreed to attend the management committee meetings for the skatepark to put forward the views of the users. I can put you in contact with Ellis if you get in touch.
Took the kids for the first time. They loved it. 3 yr old was on balance bike. 7 yo on islabike. A 'big boy' on a bmx told her she didn't have the right kind of bike, but after she got the hang of it, no one hassled her. 3 other girls her age there but on scooters. A couple of other balance bikes, but most of the under 5s were on scooters.
First question I got this morning is 'can we go back today?'
