Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

is it not a home grown cucumber? ie not an 'english cucumber' which is what we grew up calling those smooth long flat things that are now commonplace?
otherwise a deformed/miscoloured prickly pear!
Oh yes it could be a cucumber. I have only ever seen the smooth ones so it looks weird.
cut through it! should be yummy. the skin might be a bit tough. if you can find small ones like this, please tell me. i use them for pickles.
ps min - now I am going to stop being embarrassed about not knowing what to do with the broadbeans that came in our veg box. i'd never seen anything like them! now the kids love them and can't get enough.
Yes I will cut through it with my cucumber smoothie recipie on standby. I just didn't want to do it and then not know what to do with it and it go to waste. Thank you!
