Something to do while you're in the ASL with an HGV breathing down your neck.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

lol @ unimpressed (contemptuous?) onlookers
Oh dear.
I see the 'elf 'n' safety jobsworth couldn't resist getting the stripey tape out and a man in a hiviz vest with an earpiece to "guard" it.
I'm surprised the spectators didn't have their bags scanned for weapons/drugs/tobacco and be subjected to a full body search too. Never mind (said he shamelessly hijacking the thread) you can look forward to all that in a few years' time at your local train station.
"There are over 27 million bicycles in the UK but only six million of them are being used on a regular basis," she said.
That's because of the n+1 rule plus the n>3 rule mean that say there are 1 million serious cyclists that represents at least 3 million bikes, which is increasing by 1 million every few years as people increase their bike numbers.
N is always limited of course by the maximum value of n=SO-1 where S is the number of bikes it will take for your significant other to throw you out.
I have somehow* managed to accumulate eight bicycles, plus two 'projects' I'm supposed to be building up at some point when I'm not riding my other bikes. That's just daft!
Don't own nor use a car though, and very rarely board a bus these days, so probably a smaller amount of the world's resources squandered on my cheeky wee habit.
* - Actually there was a very specific enabler: getting a lock-up garage...
