    Interesting. Almost certainly would improve straight-line stability. But by the same token, I can't help but suspect it would fight against the rider's attempt to turn the handlebars away from dead-ahead...or once turned, to turn back in line.
    I'd be concerned that they'd be learning a 'false' impression of the technique for steering which might (or might not) delay overall progression.
    But less of the theory.. my son is currently on his first pedal bike and my daughter is about to make the leap from the balance bike. I'm less concerned about them toppling over, moreso them hitting lampposts/pedestrians/bins/dogs/walls! :-)
