    Truly, we are living in the cycling dark ages in Scotland. Have a look at the Health and Bike Friendly School Roads document if you don't believe me:

    The law was changed in Denmark (in 1976!) to state:

    “It is incumbent on the police and road authorities, in
    consultation with the schools, to implement measures to
    protect children from the dangers of vehicular traffic on their way to and from school.”

    1976! There is no such requirement in Scottish law today.

    The Welsh are beginning to move that way. Scotland shouldn't lag behind Wales, surely?
