    We're thinking about registering to ride next year's PfS, and raising money for @andrewcyclist - the charity Lynne and Ian MacNichol set up earlier this year.

    Anyone else?

    Yes, could be good. Sportive or Fun Run though? ;-)

    Wondering if my 7 year old* has the legs to do 47 miles yet on the tandem. I suppose I should rather ask do I have the legs to carry him while he cruises on 'rest' mode? Yeah, probably...

    * - He'll be 8 by then, and could manage I expect.

    There was a father-daughter combo on a helios from Glasgow. She was 8. And some younger kids on their own bikes/tagalongs/towbars.

    Hmm, SRD, I can see one issue.

    From the PfS FAQ: "2) Can I fundraise for any charity?

    freshnlo Pedal for Scotland has an official charity partner: Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres.
    freshnlo Pedal for Scotland does not encourage or facilitate any fundraising from charities that are not the official charity partner."

    Doesn't say you can't, mind you...

    I've just registered me, No.1 son and transport for the tandem. Some clandestine fundraising activity may be required...

    i've tweeeted Lynn the link and asked her howwe go about it. they had a big group riding foranother charity this year. and she's said quite explicitly (on twitter) this am that they're looking for 100 cyclists to ride/fundraise for Andrew cyclist.

    @SRD, feel free to PM further details on how to fundraise for Andrew cyclist*. One charity ride I don't mind signing up for.

    * - Or post publicly if you'd rather.

    @crowriver: I know several people fundraising for other charities in the ride.

    Last night, minimoth cycled back to the finish line, as she realised she'd left her lock at the stall. She saw a friend (who has posted on here a couple of times) cycling the other way: She'd just finished the 100+ mile route & 10+ hours later was pootling towards the finish line! https://makeit4africa.workwithus.org/Fundraising/Donate.aspx?page=7517

    I felt a bit sorry for her as minimoth said everything was being dismantled by the time she made it, but at least she had minimoth cheering her!

    I think (hope) I'll be out the country by next September. It looks like a really fun ride - wish I'd done it now. Good luck everyone for next year. :) And def drag children along :D

    Hmm you have got me thinking now... Wonders if I could borrow a Helios tandem and stick a tag along on the back? My legs should be good for ~50 miles of towing...
