    "Victoria Pendleton

Gold medal winning track cyclist Victoria Pendleton talks to Jenni Murray about the feelings of doubt and frustration that led her to self-harm; her journey from a little girl peddling furiously on her bike to keep up with her father - to ten years at the top of world cycling; and her relief at giving it all up and move on to the next stage of her life.

Between then Lines - The Autobiography, by Victoria Pendleton with Donald McRae.

Nothing particularly new if you've read the stories or watched the TV doc before the Olympics, but a standard, high class, Jenni Murray interview - gently probing to bring out the best in her interviewee.

Mentions of Swiss Army Knives and mini-skirts, "blackmail" and the relay disqualification. Further insight into elite 'failure' (only getting silver) which she seems to coping with better than some of this year's Olympians.

Should be on iPlayer soon -

Thank you for the link - was interesting, particularly her thoughts on being a female athlete.
