Bike sales at schools (etc.) - advice please

    I've been emailed this -

    I believe we had some notes on how to run a second hand bike sale but can't find any trace in my files or on the web. Do any of you have anything or since you've all run bike sales, do you have any advice which Katherine could use please?

    I seem to remember something too! (But can't think what/where it might be.)

    I know various people on here have been involved in church and school sales.

    Presume looking for advice on promoting, pricing, need for 'mechanic', % commission, what to do with 'leftovers' etc.

    The easiest way is to promote the date, e.g. Under the auspices of the PTA on such and such a date there will be a bike sale in the playground. Sellers Are responsible for bringing their bikes along and selling them, or taking them away if unsold. The contract is between the buyer And seller.

    This seems to work if there hasn't been one recently?
