Wouldn't wait if you desperately want any thing, the bike stuff traditionally sells out very quickly.

Was in the Gorgie Aldi this morning at 8am on the dot - quite a few people in specifically for the cycling gear. There didn't seem to be much XL sized gear at all but plenty of M and L.

I'm all stocked up on lights and waterproofs and now have no excuse for not cycling into work!

PS: there's £5 voucher in the daily record (need to spend more than £35 though)

Hmm, that stand looks like just what I need in the garage! Like the spoke reflectors too.

I was in at lunch time in Gorgie, still stuff left. Chattingnto a Brompton ista wearing several, layers of Aldi tops and buying three further tops. Only used for his commute. He has other kit for weekend. Socks getting quite dear at £3.29 so I did not buy. Arm warmers looked too wide. Did buy light lock as the one I have been using since the bike chain cable combination finally broke (locked thus requiring bolt cutters). Need to get back to the bike chain for a proper one.

I took back a computer last week.

Some stuff ok, electronics are junk.

The 30 quid stand seems good! All I need to do is dispose of those MTBs so my other bike can go on....

I'd like to give their alleged merino top a try (I assume it's something similar to the Lidl thing I picked up last year which is derived from the pelts of special form of nylon-secreting sheep) but it's not easy when they shut so relatively early.

Likely to be the itchy form of merino based yarn. I had a brief shuffie and it looked rough. Go to leckies of Falkirk they are still selling icebreaker merino tops in size medium only for. £28

If popping in and you like red wine in moderation, they do a Ribera del Duero called Minarete for £5.49. Quite complex fruits and tannins. Half the price of any other Ribera del Duero I have come across
