Putting this in as a reminder for myself to find out someone's name and get a copy of his work...
I took part in a Poetry Slam last night - cracking fun, really nice folk, some extremely talented writers and performers. There was one guy who did a piece about 'If we could fly' whcih basically went along the lines of 'people would still take cars and sit in traffic jams because they wouldn't like the effort'. There was a lovely little segway into Fly 2 Work schemes, and the need for special flying helmets and hi viz and lycra.
It was a lovely piece of whimsy, but resonated beautifully with cycling (which was clearly what was aimed for) and was a really nice way to show the ridiculous attitude/approach to many things to do with cycling.
